We enjoyed a birthday stay at this lovely location during foliage season.

Location, breakfasts, fireplace area, room.

Cons:

We didn’t know there was a closet until we checked out. At check out I asked the staff about why no closet or hooks in the room and she said you have to pull on the knob of the louvered door to open the closet. We both had turned and pulled on the knob at check in and it wouldn’t open. We thought it was strange not to have a closet or hooks to hang things. So next time we will give it another try. We thought it must be for some electrical or heating unit.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

Beautiful location and surroundings. Breakfast is table service (no buffet), which I like because food is cook to order. Breathtaking sunrise from breakfast room if you are up early enough.

Cons:

You have to reserve the time for breakfast. Can’t show up whenever like most other hotels. Breakfast choice is very limited. I think wall is very thin. You can hear people chatting outside of your room in the hallway.

Beautiful, full-service hotel. Loved it.
Pros:

A sincere gem in beautiful setting. Lovely, comfy room, and fun activities and convivial vibe throughout. Delicious meals. Gillian at reception was exceptionally kind and helpful. Many thanks for such conscientious housekeeping as well. So appreciated the careful attention this hotel offers in a time of too many properties going contactless and leaving guests to fend for themselves. We so enjoyed our time at the hotel and hope to be back.
