Our great experience started with the front desk. The desk personnel was beyond helpful. We arrived an hour early. The bell hop was great. We feel well taken care of here. We will be repeat customers!!!
Lovely resort. Beautiful 9 hole golf course. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area very clean. Wish there was a quiet area to play games and cards. Ledges restaurant was superb for dinner and the breakfast ( included with the room) had choices that were delicious. I highly recommend the omelette of the day or the waffle. The tavern offered lunch and midafternoon menus. Comfortable seating to relax during the day and have a drink and nibble. Scenery is beautiful. This has become an annual long weekend for us.
My husband and I stayed two nights at the White mountain Hotel & Resort and found it simply relaxing and just lovely. Driving up to the resort is so special in its beautiful mountain setting. Walking into the lobby was simple and elegant. The room is picturesque but the walls are pretty thin and you will hear people talking in the room next to you. This did not affect our ability to sleep but in you may hear some doors shutting in the late evenings and early morning. Our room was super clean and felt like the cleaning staff took time to make sure each little detail was taken care of. Our room was elegant and simple. This is our first visit but I would highly recommend it to other couples who want to golf or just relax.
Beautiful older hotel with a truly classy vibe. The grounds are delightful and very well maintained. The outdoor pool area had plenty of loungers and chairs with tables with a full service bar. The staff couldn't be nicer including the lovely lady from Boston working in the Provisions shop and the head waiter in the restaurant. He popped a bottle of champagne for us when we told him we were there celebrating the 50th anniversary of the day we met. I enjoyed seeing all the families there with 2 and 3 generations enjoying all the available activities. Loved this place, so relaxing. It was hard to leave
Awesome atmosphere and accommodations! The grandkids loved the resort atmosphere and the local natural treasures. We had fun visiting Diana's Baths, followed by time in the hot tub and pool back at the White Mountain Hotel & Resort.
The location is very beautiful, and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, we were disappointed with our rooms.
We paid extra for a Mountain View room, but unfortunately, there was no mountain view from our room. In Room 304, there was also a loud fan or mechanical noise coming from outside that continued throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep.
We spoke with the front desk, and they offered to change our room. However, we had booked two rooms—one for ourselves and one for our children. The room where our children were staying also had a noticeable mold-like smell.
The front desk told us that only one room was available on another floor, so they could not move both rooms together. This was very disappointing, especially considering the price we paid and the expectations we had for our stay.
The location is beautiful and the staff was friendly, but the room conditions and the lack of the promised mountain view need improvement.
location
rooms are little bit small and my kids room had bad smell
I think this hotel will be best for family travels, as there's quite a lot of young children around and they can be heard throughout the hotel.
But the staff are warm & the rooms are very nice.
Gym is very outdated and the pool & hot tub are also quite small - but overall atmosphere was pleasant for a few days of local hiking.
This hotel is very well run and I found it to be a good value for what is offered. The room was clean and comfortable with nice decor. The included breakfast had many options to choose from, with friendly and efficient waitstaff. All staff went out of their way to greet us with genuine kindness.
We enjoyed having a kitchen area to make a coffee or grab glasses and ice. The back entrance was very convenient for parking and the lobby is cozy and with space to play cards etc.
The pool was a decent size with a small hot tub. The flowers are beautiful and surround the deck and pool. There is a nice lounge couch on the deck to have drinks overlooking the mountains.
We hiked every day and were happy to come back to the White Mountain to relax. Can’t think of one improvement!
Beautiful location. Very quiet. Nice restaurant and bar. Nice breakfast. Small pool, but not too cold. So much better than staying in downtown North Conway.
The front desk and restaurant all cheat that there's no availability for breakfast. While I paid for the breakfast for my suite and the check in sheet has a sticker saying "breakfast reserve" for them, the front desk Jeremy repeated that "you dooon't have breakfast reservation". More serious is that they cheat to manager that I requested a time that't not available and that's the reason I didn't get reservation, while I never requested a specific time for breakfast and was always saying any time is good to me.
Lovely hotel with a quiet atmosphere popular with older couples. We were very pleased with how clean everything was; particularly considering how many hotels are skimping on housekeeping services these days. We also appreciated the quiet hours at night. There was a nice variety of breakfast entrees included (you pay gratuity). The pool and firepit are a nice touch but a bit small for families with children. Highly recommend for friends or couples traveling together. I would definitely go back with my spouse or friends but would probably stay elsewhere with my kids.
This hotel is beautiful. The views are awesome. The staff is wonderful. All were very hospitable including housekeepers and maintenance workers.
The golf course was in great shape and has beautiful views.
The location and room are very good.
Dinner at restaurant was delitious.
The breakfast options are very substantial - heavy and sweetened. Pancakes, omlets, etc.
Croissant is additionallt fried. No plain unsweetened yougurt, no greens in any of the breakfast options. Some people need light versions for the morning.
Hotel was in a great location a few minutes outside of town. The grounds appeared very well kept. The reception staff were always very helpful be it answering questions or setting us up with restaurant reservations. We had an awesome view of the behind mountain from our hotel room and rooms were clean. The hotel breakfast was excellent and free for hotel guests. The hotel had a tennis/ basketball ball court, swimming pool, small gym which did have weight training equipment, small game room, and free laundry machines (which was awesome because we were day 6/7 on our trip). The Ledges restaurant had quality food and drinks for dinner. Overall if I were to return to this part of New Hampshire, I would strongly consider this hotel.
We had a great experience in a beautiful setting! The staff really made the difference at a location where the tee-time crowd could make things a little pretentious. Our room was very clean and the on-site laundry was much appreciated for us as hikers.
