Gallows Point Resort

It was everything we could have asked for. They even left us a little gift for our honeymoon. Would absolutely recommend anybody stay here

Highly recommend Gallows Point! Great location to Cruz Bay and rooms had everything we needed and bed was very comfortable. Very impressed with the daily cleaning service as well. Pool area is beautiful with stunning views!

Amazing experience! Highly recommend this as the place to stay on St John.

This resort was in a very good location. It was walkable from many stores and restaurants . We also loved our view from the porch . The pool was very nice and clean. The grounds were very well kept. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to St. John.

Really bummed to write this review but Gallows was a supreme letdown. From the attitude of the front desk staff when we arrived early and asked to leave luggage while we killed 4 hours downtown (something we had floated on the phone the day before and begrudgingly told it would be fine) to the ABYSMAL attitude of the older white woman at the Gift Shop to the very dingy and extremely dated room... everything was just such a letdown. The one time we tried the restaurant, they were out of half of the dishes on the very odd menu and had no olives for martinis that night. The rest of the dishes just didn't even sound appetizing so we left and never returned. Again, the woman at the Gift Shop was so rude, I genuinely thought she was doing a bit. She wouldn't even make eye contact with me as I stood in front of the register and when I said something held her finger up as she continued to work on her laptop for another 5 minutes. It was like an SNL skit she was so unbelievably rude. What hospitality program did you snag that gem from? In all seriousness, GM - please have a friend go in there and pretend to be a guest and hear first hand how laughable the service there is. Our room had appliances that hadn't been updated since the 80s. Not a problem as we ate out every night but the dirty furniture, polyester sheets, yellow towels, dirty walls (please go look at all the mildew, dings and stains ALL over the walls in 10C, not to mention the dead cockroaches stuck in between the screens

You are paying for the view and location to the town. Very convenient and beautiful views. No bells and whistles. The restaurant on property was “fine”. The market was “fine”. Customer service was either fantastic or poor. No in between. It all depended on who you were talking to.

Because we were walking downtown each day going out in boat, it was perfect. I would not stay here again. Now that I know the lay of the land, I would stay somewhere just as close, same views and more amenities for the price.

Everything was better than expected! The location was ideal, quiet and peaceful which allowed for a very restful vacation ,which was much needed. The room was conveniently located (I believe they all are), near the pool, sea, restaurant. The village is an easy walk from the Gallows.

Great stat from start to finish- not all rooms are equal at Gallows so that is something to keep in mind. Friendly staff, nice facilities, large rooms, great pool!

The location on the point and tropical landscaping makes this property special.

Location was near perfect, as it’s right on the point (waterfront), with great views, a nice pool area, direct access to the ocean and snorkeling, and only a five minute walk to all the restaurants. Units are spacious and well designed. The best place we saw to stay n STJ.

Excellent! I traveled with my two teens and it was a perfect spot. Easy walk into Cruz Bay for dinner and shopping. Great staff. We rented our jeep from Gallows Point as well and it was easy! Wonderful vacation! Would highly recommend GP to anyone heading to STJ.

Beautiful location right in ocean! Was very quiet. Staff very pleasant. Only wish their van would pick us up from food market. It was only a couple blocks away and we had to make other accommodations out lug them back ourselves. .
