Overall, you get what you pay for.
Pros:

price point of this hotel is great, for being right on the boardwalk its hard to beat.

Cons:

The room was small, it was advertised as the "budget room" so that is on me. I'll admit. What I didn't like was the room had a very musty smell to it and some dampness in the floors. On the first day of our stay we pointed that out to the front desk and their solution was to give us a bottle of room spray to make it smell better. There wasn't much of a concern to fix the problem, rather out a band aid on it. When asking an attendant for more towels, instead of just handing me more towels, he walked directly into our room, walks into the bathroom and starts to swap out towels. Usually, I would appreciate this work ethic but my girlfriend was in our room changing when he barged in to swap towels.

Underwhelming but good and memorable.
Pros:

We loved the pool, staff, front porch, and lobby. The pool was the highlight from the live music, the bar, the lounge chairs, and the staff. The pool experience and the location made the stay!

Cons:

We disliked the absence of hot water and a television with one channel. We were told there was no hot water for the entire building, which made it difficult to take a shower.

the body wash in the shower was too high for the kids to reach. and it's locked, so i couldn't bring it down for them. i had to inevitably get wet while pumping out some body wash for them.

Cons:

The shower was extremely small and uncomfortable. My arms kept bumping this knob and turning the water either cold/hot or off. The showerhead was way too high, so there was nowhere to be without water hitting my head. which made it really hard to wash my hair. I was only there for 2 nights so I delt with it. But I could never stay here for a week. And I probably won't stay here again.

Rooms need refreshed/updated. Did not like that the refrigerator did not have freezer. I couldn't freeze my ice packs to take drinks to the beach and you don't allow me to use your ice for coolers. And kids were running rampant through the building without supervision.

It was manageable, but I would not stay there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
Pros:

I loved the location, the staff, and the size of the pool.

Cons:

Only 1 elevator. Parking was first come first serve. The overflow parking was a block away. THE ROOMS WERE DIRTY!!!! The hallways and rooms smelled musty. The showers were made for tiny people. There was no lock on the pool so there were people who were not staying at the Harrison Hall Hotel in the pool. It was basically a public pool.

Front porch sitting good time!
Pros:

Great front porch with seating to overlook ocean. Free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby anytime. Pool! Pool bar. Towels. Umbrellas. Entertainment. Happy hour. Trolleys to help with luggage. Snack machines well-stocked and various drinks, too. Soda machines on floor, too. Hair dryer in room. Appears clean. Quality AC.

Cons:

No coffee in room. No microwave in room. Shower was tiny. It would be uncomfortable or impossible for some larger guests. The room was not serviced during one of the days we stayed but we assumed they were just too busy after a late-night evacuation.
