Great location, lovely food but other hotels looked much better value for money

Great location, food good. Issue we had resolved (reluctantly)

Cons:

Customer service when we had an issue, no ventilation is the bathroom at all… not great. Variation in rooms. Once issue raised we were offered another room, much better than first

Great Stay in Chagford !
Pros:

We've been to The Globe several times and each time it's been wonderful - friendly welcome - fabulous food so compliments to the Chef. We have already booked to go back.

Pros:

L’hôtel a du charme, le personnel est très attentif. On a mangé sur place et c’était très bien. Menu enfant. Possibilité de sécuriser des vélos dans la cour sur demande. Très central. Parking communal à 50m.

Cons:

Les fenêtres qu’on ne pouvait pas occulter à 100%, mais c’est souvent le cas.

Pros:

This is a lovely old inn. Unfortunately, the shower drain kept blocking so you had to turn the shower off every minute to allow the water to drain. I didn’t enjoy this experience of water backed up.
The room was not serviced the entire stay. It must be an English thing but disappointing that there was no fridge in the room. I would have liked milk for a cup of tea.
The room was expensive

Pros:

Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Es gab einen Ventilator im Zimmer (es war sehr heiß unterm Dach). Das Essen war hervorragend. Die Betten gemütlich und das Zimmer sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.

Cons:

Die Dusche hing nicht richtig fest, die Toilettenspülung blieb immer hängen und funktionierte dann nicht.

Nice stay/ people.
Pros:

Had nice dinner and breakfast. Set in a quiet village. Few shops but within easy driving reach of dartmoor and other Moor towns.

Ein besonderer, alter Ort mit vielen schönen Plätzen und Begegnungen.
Pros:

Sehr individuelles Hotel, mit liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmern

Cons:

Die steilen Treppen sind schon anstrengend, aber das gehört eben in England dazu.
