Grand pretensions, many glitches
Pros:

Friendly and responsive staff, especially in the dining room. Upscale ambitions. 5 min. walk from the station.

Cons:

1. My top reason for booking the Manhattan was the fitness room, desperately needed a workout during extended travels.
However the fitness room had only a bike for aerobics -- no Stairmaster, no Elliptical. Worst of all, no bench for the weights. 4 of my 5 routines are on the bench, totally basic in any fitness room. When I reported this to Reception, they said nobody
ever asked before. That is an incompetent and insulting reply.
2. The room safe did not work
3. The sheets and duvet cover were "waterproofed" cotton, non-breathing / very uncomfortable so I removed them
