The room was extremely clean.

Not enough tea bags, coffee, and sugar. I had to go and ask for more. Had to go to 1st floor.

Pros:

El desayuno era suficiente: tostadas, vegemite, mantequilla, mermelada, miel, cereales, leche, café y té.

Cons:

Inmediatamente al ingresar, el fuerte y característico olor a alfombra sucia te abofetea el rostro. Todo el hotel tiene alfombra, por lo que el olor es característico en todas partes. Cucarachas muertas en las habitaciones, aire acondicionado que no funciona y escuchar todo lo que hacen y conversan los vecinos de habitación hacen que no sea una estancia placentera como se quisiera.

Pros:

The complementary breakfast was good

Cons:

We got locked out of the hotel from 5pm. We went out to eat at 4:40 and arrived back about 7pm and couldn’t get in. We ended up ring the police!
Then found out that the code to get in was in the keys which the staff didn’t tell us!
We were one of only two couples in the hotel all night.

Do t ask for the twin room - AC was broken- no fly screen on the only window -and cobwebs in the corner
Pros:

An old huge hotel from days gone by .
Free lite breakfast
Linen was fresh and clean
Painting of rooms seems fresh too

Cons:

It’s age made it shabby elegant - huge spaces - my room twin room was weird -split level inside - too bed room had no window but bathroom (nice) and jug
Bottom room had window -small fridge and AC

Comfortable stay in great location
Pros:

Booked a family room and it was a giant and very well furnished room, looked like a converted function room. Very characterful, two bathrooms and plenty of space for us all.
Very friendly staff
The included breakfast was unexpected bonus and although it was 'simple' as they described, with toast, cereals, yoghurts and fruit that was pretty good.

Cons:

Not much to complain, ground floor room was a little chilly (visited in late December, in fairly cool conditions), but there were electric blankets.
