Horrible stay
Pros:

Good location

Cons:

Terrible customer service - was left waiting for 30 min at reception. The hotel was over all very old, run down, cold, rooms were small and uncomfortable. There were no bathroom mats, the pillows and bed were extremely uncomfortable. No one told us that breakfast was self serve and no one warned that the hot water boiler for tea must be turned on to work or turned off to stop over boiling the water which is not safe. The breakfast room was like a freezer in the morning with no heaters. What's the point of choosing a hotel so uncomfortable? I think this is mo more than a 2 star hotel.

We love coming to Hotel Blue and Cottages. It is friendly and spectacular.
Pros:

The staff was excellent, very welcoming, and accommodating.

Cons:

The tea and coffee set up in the room was awkward. The mattress on the bed wasn't firm enough for my back.

Warm, quirky and comfortable.
Pros:

It's quirky, original, non cookie-cutter old school style. Breakfast in the breakfast room with other travellers was great. It had everything you need to start the day. Great bed in an odd shaped room, with a good feel about it. Good hot shower, with adjustable nozzle.

Cons:

The toilet seat in room 11 bites you (it's broken away from its moorings), but just needs replacing. Otherwise, great find!

Pros:

We were very thankful to have walked into a warm room as we didnt arrive til well after 10pm. It was nice that the staff had left the air con on for us.

Breakfast was also lovely.

Lovely big rooms and great staff
Pros:

We loved the big family room for our trip. Location is great too

Cons:

Breakfast was very basic.. would be good to see more fruit or eggs. It was mentioned to have yoghurt but not when we stayed.
