Staff was friendly and polite
The gentleman that worked the frontdesk during the evening showed so much hospitality and customer service. I believe his name is Shawn.
Coffee was bad same as last year
Ran out of coffee

Great location and easy check in
Liked the staff. Very helpful
The location was very nice and the staff was friendly but there was no pool and the soap smelled like a bad smell but the sleeping was very nice but i heard someone pooping and i got ding dong ditched but breakfast was nice
and there are lots of places for kids but i got chased by giant feet
From Kierra at the front desk to the convenience of parking in their garage, to the clean lobby, comfortable room, hot chocolate bar, ample snacks and water in the lobby to the bar area, to the shops, restaurants and things to see just outside the hotel, this is a great place to stay for business or pleasure. I was here for two nights and found it extremely nice. The location certainly helps however the staff is amazing. It is noticeable when someone truly enjoys what they do and Kierra at the front desk certainly does. Will stay here again.

Very convenient to everything, good food options in the area and great value.
My complaint is not about the hotel facilities nor am I claiming I did not make a big mistake that, I gather, legally puts me in the wrong. However, I asked for recognition and kindness for my honest error and the Assistant General Manager, Alex Yacobozzi, was not very polite nor understanding in his response to me.
Here's what happened. I am 79 years old. My wife is 78. We reserved rooms at the SringHill Marriot Bakery Square Pittsburgh under our Bonvoy membership. I made non-cancellable reservations for 11/21/25-11/24/25 or 4 nights. My mistake was that we never planned to leave on the 21st, but rather the 22nd. I never caught my error. We arrived on time for what we thought was our first nights stay on 11/22/25. We checked in, received our room cards and card for parking our car. No one at the desk asked about our being a day late. We didn't say a word either, because we thought we were arriving for our 1st nights reservation. Everything went smoothly during our stay. However, during the afternoon of 11/25, we received several knocks on our door from several Springhill Staff. We had been napping so I can't be sure how the very short conversations went. Essentially, I said we were staying that night and no one contradicted me. And stay the night of 11/25 we did very comfortably and without any problem.
Wed morning, when we were preparing to leave the hotel for our next destination, I received a final bill for 5 nights stay (including the night of the 21st which I had reserved). Reading it, I thought they had made a mistake since we'd been there 4 nights and not 5. I checked my emails from Springhill and finally realized my error. I had booked the night of the 21st without any realization that it was the wrong day. We had no intention of leaving our home to drive to Pittsburgh until the 22nd.
Anyway, upon learning of the charge for 5 not 4 days, I went down to the checkin desk to explain my mistake. I said we were charged for 5 nights when we stayed only 4. On this fact there was complete agreement. I explained my age and the apparent confusion that had led to my mistake; and I asked if they would show some understanding and not charge me, a Bonvoy Marriott member, $254 for a night that they weren't present at the hotel. The woman at the counter was very understanding and recognized my unintentional error. Even though I missed the first night of 4, by innocently staying the additional night, I would still be paying for 4 nights. . I wasn't trying to get away with anything. She said she thought they could work something out. She said Friday and Saturday the hotel was roughly 50% occupied and the following nights 30-35% occupied. I didn't cause a potential guest to be turned away from having a room.
Well, everything turned South when Mr. Yacobozzi, the Assistant Manager, and highest official at the hotel that day arrived at the desk. He's a young man perhaps in his 30's. I felt his haughty look when I explained my confusion making our reservations. He said like he was looking down at me, what he would do, is turn my "case" over to the accounting(?) group for a decision. He wouldn't use his authority to decide then and there. I wanted to tell Mr Yacobozzi, that one day when he became 79, he'd have more sympathy for what the aging process can be like. Then I left the hotel to the calls of the staff wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving.
I'm currently waiting to hear about the accounting departments decision. In the meantime I'm going to contact Marriott Bonvoy membership with my tale. My loyalty is to an organization that shows some compassion to its guests, especially aged ones.

We were very pleased with our stay here. The room was clean and the suite arrangement worked out really well for our family of 4. There was an extra trundle bed so our 2 teens didn't have to sleep in the same bed and separated baths - one with a shower and sink and one with a toilet and sink. That was an incredibly helpful layout for us all to get ready in the morning and something you don't find in regular hotel rooms. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bottled waters and popcorn available in the lobby. No allergen friendly food at breakfast other than fruit and milk, though. Parking was pricey at $16 per night, but free for stays less than 3 hours. Parking in the garage for hotel guests was conveniently located and a short walk to the hotel. Convenient location to Carnegie Mellon, Pitt and downtown Pittsburgh.
