Wood Castle

Największym problemem jest środek używany do dezynfekcji. Podłogi są nim myte codziennie, ale jego zapach jest bardzo intensywny i wyjątkowo nieprzyjemny - przypomina ciężką woń ropy. Jest na tyle mocny, że może przeszkadzać w normalnym funkcjonowaniu i odpoczynku. Warto rozważyć zmianę stosowanych środków czystości na mniej uciążliwe dla gości.

Location was slightly difficult to find.

La limpieza del baño sigue los estándares de India, para ellos está limpio pero para los europeos no cumple con detalles mínimos de limpieza. Durante el desayuno el empleado te ponía las tostadas en el plato directamente con la mano, sin utilizar pinzas. Salvo la persona de recepción, los demás empleados no hablan nada de inglés y se hace muy difícil la comunicación hasta para pedir un poco de agua caliente para un té. La zona en la que se encuentra no es agradable, muy difícil salir y cruzar las calles. Coincidió que Holi estaba cerca y nos tiraban bolsas llenas de agua desde los edificios de enfrente.

Booked after seeing 3* and 9.0 rating. But the place doesnt deserve even 1*. Not suitable for families at all.

Struttura un po’ datata e da ristrutturare ma tutto sommato per il prezzo che abbiamo pagato va bene. Inoltre l’hotel è in un quartiere un po’ trasandato e questo fa sì che l’impatto iniziale non sia dei miglior. Ma questo non è colpa della struttura.

Sadly, there is not much that went well during my stay. I arrived late and the owner was already eager to push getting me a guide for the next day and sell me things. When I told him that I paid for one on Viator the next morning, he scowled and erupted, "Why did you do that!?!? You've been scammed." It was clear that he was only interested in making more money off of my stay, and eager to try to sell that he had the "best guides available" and could arrange all of my transfers to Jaipur and Agra via train or car all for the small fee of $700 dollars....

Later that evening, I ran into him on my way to explore Karol Bagh and get dinner he said don't do that its dangerous and tried to usher me back into the hotel to sell me on more services that I did not need or want. You cannot claim the hotel is "walkable" if the hotel employee/ owner literally tells you not to walk around at 5:30 PM.

Very uncomfortable and pushy, and not a welcoming feel for my arrival in Delhi. I barely wanted to go down for breakfast the next morning, because I felt so uncomfortable in the "lobby" aka employee hangout area. There was no genuine effort to help, it was all exploitation. The comforter on the bed had something on it.... I'm not going to make a guess on what it was, and I could never get the hot water heater to work. The breakfast was nominal. Some bread and banana and yoghurt. Enough to get you to lunch. These other things I would have turned a blind eye for the price, but how I was treated as a guest made me want to leave the hotel. Had I not just arrived in Delhi and been utterly exhausted I certainly would have. Don't expect to be treated as a guest. Expect to be treated as a wallet without compassion.

The location is not in the best part of Delhi but it is a quiet location, where we felt safe and it is within reasonable walking distance of the metro.
