Location. Close to river, nice pubs etc. and to Norwich City.
In need of some TLC in areas. Service to hotel guests suffers slightly due to other events being held in the hotel. Communal windows, stairs needed cleaning/dusting.
Room: Some lights not working, radiator thermostat off and left in room on arrival. One of the mattresses with a severe dip in the middle.
Shower: Useless! Holder coming off the wall. Absolutely no pressure so had to take shower head off and run the dribble of water over body.
No one on site to address any issues.

Very uncomfortable beds (double and single), really bad back this morning.
Toilet not cleaned very well, used the public toilet downstairs.
Room facilities very tired. No lock on bathroom door, bathroom door didn’t shut to.
Birthday party - very very loud music with heavy base going on while trying to sleep.
The food was very reasonably priced and was very nice. The room was clean and view lovely.
The bed wasnt too comfy and felt like 2 singles pushed together.

Sentimental about the Oaklands, good place
Lodges are lovely, we stayed in them when we got married there 13 years ago, the lodges haven’t changed much since, I’d like to see what a lodge looked like with a touch of Marcus’ style put into it. Needed an iron and board, I looked like a right scruff bag in my new Ben Sherman
food was good
the room in was put in with my two small children was directly above their event room with loud music thumping through till around midnight

Room serviced every day which is rare nowadays
