Staff were excellent and very friendly. It's an old building with lots of character and sitting in front of the open fires with a glass of wine is very relaxing. The cleaners do a great job and keep the hotel spotless.
Unfortunately, the food let the hotel down a bit. The kipper served at breakfast was well overdone, although the scrambled eggs were lovely. I mentioned this to a staff member who knocked £5 off my bill.
Old genuine character hotel, very comfortable with friendly staff.
Nothing bad about it
The room and hotel were beatiful. One of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in! Reading a book in front of a roaring fire felt so cosy. The food in the bar was really nice, and exactly what we wanted after a day of hiking and exploring. The steak and ale pie was a favourite at our table. The staff were very kind and helpful, and made sure to have the six nation's rugby on for us! I would 100% reccommend this hotel, and we will definitely be coming back.
Not one complaint!
Property was lovely, room was clean, spacious and cosy.
Pub downstairs was great for food and drinks all in all was great
Not much to do around the property if you don’t like walking or can’t drive. No faults in property
Everything was excellent

Our room was very comfortable. Although the hotel is next to a railway station it was very quiet.
Some of the public areas could do with a freshen up, this however did not distract from our stay.
All staff encountered were helpful, good humoured and attentive. The hotel has lovely and spacious, comfortable public areas and the bedroom was well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was great, with no pressure to finish up and leave.
The hotel is ealily accessed off the A9, and close to Blair Castle and many other attractions and activities.

Staff were excellent.
Open fire in the Lounge was so relaxing
Bed a bit small
Setting and decor, very traditional and welcoming.
Despite minimal staff, every effort made to ensure all guests and their needs were catered for.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were very good and great value. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a short drive to the castle.
The weather was very cold and the hotel was not that warm. The heater in our room did not work too well. A member of staff came to fix it and he pressed every button I did, but it still didn't fix the problem.
Its location
Bothy bar was closed
Loved the cozy bar within the hotel, after a day of driving it was nice to not have to get back in the car. The breakfast in the morning was top notch as well.
I wouldn't complain about anything.
The breakfast was nice, and the staff respected privacy, yet where still very helpfull and kind.
There wasn't very good internet.
Dinner and breakfast was very good.
Room wasn't as expected
