Location excellent .Breakfast /food excellent.

A stunning old traditional Scottish house with comfortable lounging area with roaring open fire .very friendly staff ,excellent food and service.

Arriving at this beautiful hotel I was greeted by welcoming staff at reception, in this area there was also a nice seating area with sofas and an open fire in a lovely fireplace. The decor is truly wonderful and is a very heartfelt Scottish welcome to anyone who enters.
My room was tidy, clean and inviting, with tea and coffee making facilities; the bed was very comfy and the lampshade on either side gave a lovely lighting to the room; the bathroom was also very clean.
The bar attached to the hotel is for hotel guests as well as non-guests, is pet friendly and anyone who goes in gets a warm and welcoming greeting. The staff are lovely and the food was very nice. The bar served local ales, as well a range of local gins and whiskies.
Breakfast in the dining hall was wonderful; with a self-serve counter for toast, fruit, etc, as well as a range of cooked breakfast foods available from the menu, and was served at a later time than most hotels so no need to get up very early!

Though mine was only a fleeting visit of 2 nights, I had a wonderful time there and was genuinely sad to leave.
I highly recommend Atholl Arms Hotel for a stay or just a couple of drinks by the fire in the evening. It was exactly the comforting, Highland getaway I envisaged when booking my trip.

The Atholl Arms Hotel is a historic coaching inn dating back to 1833, offering a traditional atmosphere steeped in Scottish history and character.
On arrival, we were welcomed by a friendly and professional receptionist, who ensured a smooth check-in at 3 pm.
We stayed in a twin room with en-suite facilities and a small television. While the hotel’s historic charm is part of its appeal, certain areas of the room would benefit from refurbishment to bring them up to a more modern standard. The shower was very good, providing a comfortable flow of warm water, although a slightly higher temperature would have been preferable.
Breakfast was of a very good standard and was served in an impressive hall featuring considerable Scottish historical character, which added a distinctive touch to the experience.
Overall, our stay was very enjoyable. The welcoming staff, quality breakfast and unique historic surroundings contributed to a pleasant visit. Although some aspects of the accommodation could benefit from modernisation, we would be happy to return to the Atholl Arms Hotel in the futur

The staff were very friendly and helpful the breakfast was pretty decent though there was no fruit. The room was spotless.

It’s a great location, close to railway station, very handy when surprising family who were staying at caravan park across the road!

If you want to walk to Blair Castle, this is where you wanna be. Is literally two minutes from the laneway up to the castle. You’re paying for buses or needing a car.
The beds were comfortable.
