On arrival despite polite reception staff i was unhappy that despite paying upfront before arrival for my stay that i was told to pay a 50 euro deposit fee off my card in case i damaged anything in the room!!!! When i explained that this was not mentioned before i prepaid my stay i was forced politely to pay!!! I expected to pay local taxes not this deposit. I explained that due to unseen circumstances of money leaving my account ,i only had cash which is not usable in Holland to easily pay etc. staff told me the money would instantly go back onto my card within 4 to 5 minutes. This matter over clouded my stay. Also i feel that being forced to pay this deposit because i might damage the room is highly offensive. I explained i was attending the irish embassy opening as an invited guest. In truth if a person wished to damage property 50 euros most certainly not .cover the costs and police should be called. So in truth this part over shadowed much because the cash was not returned and still at this moment has not. No banks are open in the weekend in Holland so i could not deposit my cash to my cards. I had accounted for all my spending before arriving and was on a tight budget so i was not prepared for this. Had it been advertised before i paid and got there ‘then i would not have booked. Staff etc and rooms were clean except that it was obvious bath room items had been opened. Cotton ear buds had been opened and rubbish was in the bins that had not been cleaned.

Tolles Hotel
Pros:

Das Hotel ist super gelegen direkt an der Stadt und dennoch nicht mittendrin, so dass es schön ruhig ist. Richtig tolle und großzügige Zimmer sehr sauber jedoch auch schon etwas ältere die Zimmer.
Eines meiner liebsten Hotels da wir schnell überall sind ob Strand oder Stadt.

Cons:

Der Preis ist nicht immer angemessen je nach Wetter oder Nachfrage variiert der Preis. Preis und Leistung passen nicht immer.

The bathroom smells weird. The location is on the roads, depending on what one likes to see. Far from the beach and close to city.
