Great service and location, but the rooms don't match the price tag
Pros:

The Location: Absolutely excellent and perfect for exploring Florence.

The Service: The staff were incredibly lovely, welcoming, and provided great service from the moment we arrived.

Cons:

The Room Condition: The room felt very basic, old, and is in need of renovation.

The Noise: The insulation is awfully poor. We could hear everything from both the street traffic and inside the hotel corridors.

The Value: At £625 for the night, it simply did not feel worth the price given the state of the room.

Beautiful hotel & great locstion
Pros:

Hotel and staff are absolutely lovely. Hotel is beautiful & historic & centrally located. Rooms are very clean. There is a bit of street noise but we could sleep nonetheless. This was recommended by one of our friends & recommend highly to others.

Warm Hospitality in a Perfect Florence Location
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa. The location is excellent — perfectly situated for exploring Florence on foot while still feeling peaceful and elegant.

The concierge service was especially outstanding. Antoinette was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and welcoming throughout our stay, and truly made the experience even more enjoyable.

Breakfast each morning was fantastic, with a great selection and excellent service. A special thank you to Giani, Aurelio, and Ana, who all did a wonderful job and made every morning feel warm and welcoming.

Overall, a beautiful hotel with excellent hospitality, wonderful staff, and a perfect location in Florence. We would happily stay again.

A perfect stay
Pros:

The Hotel Porta Rossa is a beautiful place -- I spent a wonderful four days there in April/May and would highly recommend it. It's located in the heart of Florence, yet the palazzo is calm and peaceful inside. The hotel has a long and fascinating history, and combines some beautiful architectural features (in the lobby area, for example) with very modern amenities (comfortable beds, well-equipped bathrooms, excellent heating/air-conditioning). The breakfast buffet was fantastic. And the staff all throughout the hotel were very kind and helpful. All in all, a fantastic stay. Thank you!

Home away from home
Pros:

My go to hotel in Florence. Why? Because I can't imagine any other place I would want to stay at.
The location is in walking distance of anything and everything.

The rooms are spectacular with great amenities.

Breakfast - bountiful selections.

But the real reason is the staff.

Dining room staff:
Gianni, Anna, Aurelio, Christina.
They remember what I like and get it for me as soon as I arrive.

Concierge/reception.
Any request taken care of with a smile: Erika, Antoinetta.

But the real reason I return is for the hospitality offered by Nadine.

This is truly my home away from home.

My only request, as a lover of flowers, is that they upgrade their selection to match their 5 star category.

very nice & charming hotel in a premium location in Firenze, I loved the atmosphere in the hotel, everything seems so well and thoughtfully organized, every evening I could hear live music - opera singers/violine/cello - from the nearby piazza, which was a great "bonus", very friendly staff, good breakfast, already recommended to my friends and will be coming back next time in Firenze

I loved every minute. Staff was professional but friendly. Location is perfect to everything. Need to know the streets to avoid crowds.
