Lovely location and hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful and also told us a lot about the island. Ample parking on site. Lovely that it had a swimming pool on site in the August heat. The breakfast was fabulous and the amount of food and snack options they have in reception along with guides and even a little shop were exceptional. A lovely couple who have clearly worked hard to make the hotel special and successful.
Just a few gentle suggestions to help for future guests. Not put in 'didn't like' section as they are minor and overall the stay was very good-For £15 you got a superb cooked breakfast. Family member I travelled with didn't want cooked but felt to pay the £15 if you were only having fruit, yoghurt pot and tea was a bit much. A polite suggestion would be for a £7.50 or max £10 option if you didn't want the cooked breakfast so party can still eat breakfast together and keep it affordable.
Pool needed setting up and insect skimming a couple of mornings we wanted to swim but this may have been as they were busy and weren't aware we were swimming. Still managed to enjoy it but just a gentle pointer for future guests.
Booking said sea view but it was only a small partial view so check with property before booking if you expected a full view. It wasn't a big problem for me and the room was huge with many amenities and the bed was fabulous! Thank you for a lovely stay! :)

Linda & Des are very lovely hosts.

Linda and Des were so welcoming from the moment I walked in. The Hotel is old world British seaside and I love how they have thoguht about guests needs. The set up downstairs with the Bar, the honesty box for drinks, snacks etc and that they even have takeaway plates etc if you decided on a takeaway in your room. They stored my bike too without any hassel. And it was an e bike. Room was spacious, clean. Bed was super comfortable and good set up with tea and coffee and smart TV etc. It was at thr front of the house and had plenty of light and view of the sea. Overall, stay exceeded my expectations. Warm welcome. Excellent facilities - pool bar- snacks available, wonderful choice for breakfast. Spotlessly clean , very comfortable and superb location.

Excellent breakfast. Super helpful hosts arranged our car ferry crossing from Southampton.

Linda and Des are great hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool, the bar for a drink in the evenings and the superb breakfasts. Such a choice to be had but between us I think we tried just about everything. The hotel was spotlessly clean as was our room with crisp bed linen, white fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. Particularly enjoyed having BBC i player to catch up on a couple of programmes that we'd missed.

The hosts were very welcoming & the place was lovely and clean. The 1st room was a little small, but we were given another room, which was much larger and more spacious.
The pool was a great touch, especially in this heatwave.
