Booked room on B&B basis, arrived for check in at 4pm and only Ring doorbell and instructions given to access key from key box outside property. We were then informed that no food available but could give recommendations, I asked about breakfast as that is what was stated on booking to be told no breakfast served……very disappointing
Horrible with nothing open and no one around.
Eventually got keys to the smallest room and a bathroom that smelt of fish!
Disappointed that it was not what was advertised on your website. There was no restaurant or bar as the description stated. When we look for a weekend away those are two of our must have. It was just a B&B which for me was very over priced. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean.
We only spent two nights here. Room is nice and large, many windows for breezes and a larger bathroom. Bathroom needs a window covering, but nicely set up and the staff/owners/managers are great. Really nice location.
Surrounding enviro dirty otherwise OK
Very expensive for a B&B no evening restaurant and even the bar closed at 8:00 pm.
People coming and going all night.
Used to be so good but won’t be rushing back now.
Very well kept hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to the beach or shops.
On arrival at the hotel I had to contact a mobile number that was not the correct recognised number. I then called the number of the hotel nearby "West End Hotel". After a couple of minutes I was let into the hotel. I was given the key to Room 6 (1 key). My hotel stay was 2 nights (Sunday / Monday). On the second day and returning to the hotel the front door was locked. I then let myself into the hotel by using my key for room 6 (is this worrying or not). The hotel was not open for business i.e. Bar or Restaurant. Only the rooms were let out. I was informed that the hotel would be open for business after 1st April. Room was clean and shower room (en-suite) was clean. Food at the West End Hotel was nice and reasonably priced. The 1 key access to the hotel and Room 6 leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel must address this issue. On arrival at the hotel on the Sunday the 1 key wasn't an issue as I believe that I was the only occupant of the hotel on Sunday. The hotel had additional rooms let on the Monday.
Fab room
Access was by key safe and I Couldn’t get the key out of the key safe on the first night, So no access to my room and had to go to relatives for the night .
The hotel was very clean, warm and comfortable accommodation. Would stay again
Fantastic stay, room was perfect, with everything you could possibly need and very spacious. Nice restaurant/ bar area.
was very clean and tidy ...will stay there again
one let down was there was no staff available when i turned up to book in so had to come back later
The accommodation was quite pleasant. It was very low-key with just about everything "do as you please." We rarely saw the staff but when we did they were pleasant and helpful. The sofa bed in an area separated from the bedroom by a door was a real surprise. This suited us very well as the sofa bed was entirely satisfactory as a second bed.
The room was the best we stayed in. The restaurant had good food. Just understaffed
Very comfortable facility and rooms with a restaurant option for supper.
The bed was very comfy.
But stairs very steep to 3rd floor and shower very small. Would have been nice to have a cloth floor mat- not a cheap paper floor mat.
I liked the cozy room up in the eves of the 3rd floor.
Shower not very big. Nobody at reception to check out, just to leave room key at desk. breakfast in separate hotel.
Quiet, clean hotel near the Nairn Golf Club and city center
Rather cramped.Toilet roll holder falling off the wall. In an extension room, door lock not secure….Clubhouse had been a highly rated hotel but sadly past it’s prime… told it is for sale . Let’s hope someone buys it and gives it TLC……
The hotel itself is ok, a bit dated but not bad.
We stayed two nights and the room didn’t get made or towels changed in between.
Even after telling reception we had no towels and would need some for when we got back from our meal to use in the morning, we still had none and the reception isn’t manned after the bar closes, which was about 9.30!!
