Slightly old facilities
Great service from the staff (even when I checked in around 10pm, and when we had deliveries to the hotel). Clean and spacious room with amenities provided. Great location too - next to a mall with breakfast options.
Location was fantastic, right next to a shopping mall with an entrance within the building. In the basement of the shopping mall is one of the entrances to the subway. Very convenient and central location.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Slightly old, the place doesn’t look like the Oakwood we are used to as it’s simpler and older furnishings. But still comfortable and clean so we enjoyed our stay.
Kitchen not that well equipped, had no cleaning sponge and dishwashing liquid which I thought would be basic for a kitchen. We bought our own at the mall tho, for very cheap.
Staff were very accommodating and did their best. Jack shen was a stand out and his English was very good. Imago mall that links to the hotel is extremely convenient.
Unfortunately the bed was like sleeping on the ground. My family and I travel 3 months a year and have never come across a bed this hard in a professional establishment. The first night I couldn't sleep at all and there was no foam mattress topper so the solution was to get 2 down blankets folded in half and put them on my side of the bed. What that resulted in was one side of the bed being at least 6 inches higher than the other so I couldn't sleep next to my wife. Overall this didn't fully fix the problem and it was the least comfortable experience I've ever had in a hotel anywhere in the world. Also the place is large but extremely worn out and in need of a renovation so the photos present far better than reality. The patio was extremely dirty and needs to be mopped between guests...I went outside to hang clothes and my feet were covered in dust that signified it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. If the bed was like any other hotel I've been in china then i would give it a 6.5 rating.
Superb location - smack right next to a shopping mall and metro station. Shopping mall is a little small and quiet but has everything we need (eateries, supermarket-hema from alibaba group, miniso, massage, etc). It was easy to get a "didi" (a private hailing app in China) as well. Staffs were extremely friendly, and explained everything in detail upon check-in. Housekeeping were awesome as well. Beds were comfortable with plenty of power sockets. Lots of space for a family of 8 in a 3 bedroom suite. CS is prompt with responses via app and mostly accommodative with requests and they can accept taobao packages on behalf as well. Overall, it was a great and comfortable stay for my family.
The rooms were a little dated and bathroom floors were a little slippery for our liking. Internet is a little unstable and is not VPN friendly.

- Located close to subway station, about 5 minutes walk, Line 14. Also located on to of a small surburban mall with a food court on the lower ground floor, which is perfect for those who arrive from another city late and don’t want to travel far to look for food
- Helpful and friendly staff, from the receptionist to the single waitress at the breakfast.
- Aging interiors. The rooms smell old but after we opened some of the windows to ventilate, it smelt better
- No toothbrush provided or shower cap provided
- Location is too far from all the attractions, about 30 mins on the subway to Nanjing Street, so for a first time visitor to Shanghai, I would probably prefer to stay closer.
- Breakfast is very very basic. It felt like it was a breakfast spread for their staff, rather than for guests. Very disappointing.

I would like to highlight the excellent Housekeeping service , as long stayers we have service daily and we really appreciate the attention to the details from the Housekeeping team and specially Ken Mary ruby.I was highly impressed with its clean and comfortable rooms and additional facilities. I highly recommend it!
