Classic, historic, grand hotel in the heart of Horta
Pros:

This is our favourite hotel in Horta. It’s a grand, historic place that is also a landmark for the sea port. Home of the transatlantic cable, the flying clippers, and sailors from around the world.
It’s our 3rd stay here, very consistent , great breakfast, and perfect views of the harbour. It’s close to the ferry terminal , and to the beautiful piers that berth some of the most loved tall ships.
Service at the hotel is outstanding. And don’t forget to have a swim in the lovely pool (indoor and out).
We are already looking forward to our next stay here. Thank you to all the staff.

O pequeno almoço muito bom e variado.
O espaço circundante ao hotel, muito agradável.

Relativamente à minha reserva, aquando do check in, informei que devido a uma situação familiar inesperada e urgente, teria que regressar de imediato à Terceira no próximo voo que tivesse vaga. Tal aconteceu no dia seguinte ao check in (18 de Março), tal como foi informado aquando da chamada telefónica do hotel.

Tenho os comprovativos de viagem de ida, stand by para regresso, e regresso.

Um vez que devido ao exposto conseguimos regressar à ilha Terceira no dia 18 de Março, solicitei ao hotel reembolso ou utilização das noites não usadas noutras datas, quando voltasse a ter férias.

O hotel não mostrou qualquer sensibilidade perante a situação e negou o reembolso.

Propuseram usar as noite não gozados até 30 de Abril, mesmo depois de terem sido informados que só teria férias em Junho e Outubro.

Relativamente ao quarto, muito mal insonorizado, não tinha aquecimento a funcionar , foi necessário ir à recepção buscar um aquecedor que se revelou insuficiente para o tamanho do quarto.

O comando da televisão não funcionava, substituíram as pilhas mas o mesmo continuou sem funcionar.

Tinha um candeeiro de pé que não funcionava e o candeeiro da mesa de cabeceira tinha o fio descarnado.

O WC está ultrapassado, com cheiro a esgoto, o espelho danificado, banheira com ferrugem.

Pouco estacionamento para os hóspedes, junto das respectivas vilas, obrigando os hóspedes a andarem com as malas à chuva.

Um bom porto de abrigo numa semana de tempestade.

O pequeno almoço é muito bom, os funcionários são muito prestáveis e simpáticos e as acomodações são boas.
É fácil chegar a pé à baixa da cidade da Horta em 8 minutos.

Cons:

Parte das acomodações são em edifícios separados do edifício principal, pelo que, em caso de mau tempo, torna a deslocação ao edifício principal um pouco desconfortável.

Kleiderschrank 2,5 m Stange und 6 Bügel, sehr wenig Fächer. Steckdose mit Dauerstrom zum laden nur 1x vorhanden. Seltsame Stromkreise im Zimmer. Keine Garderobe/ Haken
Keine Haken im Bad ( nur ein kleiner Handtuchhalter)
Klimaanlage vorh. aber nicht wirklich als Heizung zu gebrauchen.
Keine Heizmöglichkeit im Bad. Entlüftung im Bad richtet sich nach den Mondfasen o.ä. Nicht an Benutzung gekoppelt.
Insgesamt mehr Schein als Sein.
