Gulf Hotel Convention and SPA

The hotel was good but what made our trip memorable was Herath. He came to the room to deliver drinks with a big smile and said happy birthday. What a touch of class. Room 225 was lovely

We stayed for New Years Eve. I used a nightly upgrade reward and was informed by email it had been accepted, the original room wasn’t an upgrade until I returned to reception and was then upgraded. I can honestly say I have never been so cold for many years. The rooms, the corridors the restaurants the executive lounge. The whole hotel was like the artic circle, I mention this on checkout and was advised the manager would call, over 2 weeks later and I’m still waiting

My room number is 807, Herath helped me with the food, he was extremely nice! It was excellent service I recommend him and food was great! I’ll definitely come back again.

My husband works in Bahrain so I joined him over the Xmas period and stayed at the Gulf hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Our double executive was really well decorated and clean (as was every area of the hotel). The staff were really friendly and helpful. We have stayed in many hotels over the years but the staff in this hotel were easily the most helpful we have met. The food was amazing. I have never seen a breakfast buffet like it! We ate in four of the hotel’s restaurants. Fusion was the best, almost a fine dining experience. We also ate in the Japanese, Iranian restaurants and in the main restaurant Xmas evening. The food offerings in all the restaurants we ate in were fantastic and the Xmas buffet was a real treat. I had lobster with my turkey! and my husband managed 5 courses that evening, the food is that good! We also used the gym facilities (mixed) but I couldn’t use the steam room and jacuzzi as they were for men only. Easily deserved 5 out 5 stars. I would give it more if I could and would love to return one day.

Herath is an amazing server I enjoyed the chrismas brunch and the food was very good I am decently coming back again thank you (gulf hotel GCC)

It was a lovely experience spending christmas in Bahrain at this lovely resort. I had the pleausre of being served by Heorth and Babita who looked after us very well and helped us enjoy our stay.

Day after day, the spa center at the Gulf Hotel in Bahrain has become more than just a place; its presence and services are better. From a personal point of view, it is undoubtedly the best in Bahrain in terms of its available and distinguished facilities, and it employs a great deal of experience. It is very clear that the staff have extensive experience in all aspects of massage of all kinds. Today, I was absolutely certain that the center is complete and worthy of being seen. It is clear that the center is managed with great efficiency and high quality, and I know a lot from what I saw today, which was a wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone who works at this effective center. It truly deserves all the thanks for the change.

Lovely room. Comfy beds. Superb breakfast. Decent service. Loads of restaurants in hotel.

Great location. Great atmosphere. Very nice pool. Spa is expensive i feel. But prob amazing 2. Minutes walk to huge selection of bars and cracking food.

Cant wait to return.

If you have allergies do not stay at this hotel. I’m allergic to mold and I slept 3 days wearing a face mask and had to take medicine for headaches. They did change my room, but it was the same. The corridors smell like mold and also the rooms. It’s unfortunate, because it is a beautiful hotel, great location and friendly staff. I was very disappointed

Disadvantages of the hotel: 1- Shower water is very weak
2- The phone does not work well, the sound is weak, and the sound often stops, so I find it difficult to communicate with the hotel reception.
2- There is noise at parties. I don't know if it is from the hotel bars or from places near the hotel.
However, receptionist Osama is a helpful man .

Such a decline in standards since this once glorious hotel became a Marriott Bonvoy hotel. I have stayed in the Gulf for past three years, since May I have noticed a rapid decline. The check in system is slow, the rooms are not cleaned thoroughly and the whole place feels neglected. What was once a welcome retreat has become a dreary experience and I would no longer recommend people to stay here as once previously.

Thank you very much to everyone at the Gulf hotel for a wonderful stay during our work in education with Project Falcon. Everything was 5 star and my team had a wonderful time. A massive shout out to Jithu the Outlet Manager for exceptional work and making us all feel at home every day, Rahul, the Assistant Manager for being so attentive and supportive throughout our stay, Augustine - the Captain for his wonderful support, knowledge and sense of humour - every day he makes you smile and special thanks to Lolo for outstanding service every day and always with a super smile and interest in ensuring everything was superb. All staff were great but these 4 really did make us feel special. Thank you everyone at the Gulf Hotel and we look forward to returning soon. An outstanding hotel in every way !

I’ve stayed here many times over the years, and it will always be my go to whenever I’m in Bahrain. The hotel is centrally located, making it very convenient whether you’re here for business or leisure. There’s a great selection of restaurants on-site, my favorite is the Japanese, followed closely by the Mexican.

The highlight of my stay was spending the whole day at the pool, where Sunday and David took excellent care of me. They truly went above and beyond to make the experience memorable.

Yes, this is an older hotel, and you notice it as soon as you walk in. But that’s never been an issue for me. I actually appreciate well maintained classic hotels, as long as they’re clean and have everything I need.
