Hotel Føroyar

The hotel has a stunning view and excellent training facilities. It is incredibly beautiful and aesthetically designed, nestled into the mountainside in a way that makes it almost invisible, with staggered roofs covered in grass. There are plenty of paths and stairways leading down to Tórshavn or up into the mountains.

Nice an relaxing weekend, in ress spa. Food and room was very good. And the view is 2nd to none in the top of Torshavn.

I have stand in this hotel manny times and the service at the hotel is hands down the best in the Faroes!!

The place is in absolutely beautiful suroundings. The staff members are very kind and helpfull. The food at the restaurant is good, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Or stay at the Hotel Foroyar was great! The breakfast was very good. The location of the hotel and the views were amazing.
We were a bit disappointed of the level of the rooms that would require a renovation.
Spa experience was amazing in the newly renovated spa, but please be noted that they request you to wear their own swimwear. You cannot wear your own.

Hands down the best hotel in Faroe Islands. Kind staff, very nice and clean rooms, and great breakfast each morning. Would highly recommend!

we spent 4 days walking and sightseeing in the Faroe Islands. This hotel was a fine base for us. We had two meals in the restaurant. The first on a Tuesday was excellent so two days later we went again. This time good, but not excellent. Try the scallop starter. The beds and room size was fine and the view over Torshavn from the window was fascinating, watching ferries etc. come and go.

Hotel Føroyar is a wonderful property. It can feel a bit dated, but the staff and location are exceptional.

Outstanding service. Attention to room condition was also excellent.

Pros - amazing location overlooking Torshavn, beautiful spa, free parking
Cons - very expensive for what you get (rooms are very basic), maid service is haphazard (they make the bed, but don't always empty the trash cans or clean up used towels or things on the floor, they do not offer any sort of discount to hotel guests for spa usage (and it is very pricey simply to enter the spa).

Excellent hotel if you have a car otherwise book elsewhere as there is literally nothing nearby within a short walking distance. Staff are all 5 stars friendly and polite. Very nice facilities and excellent breakfast.

Overall a good stay. Room was modern but compact. Bed was very comfortable. Room was a bit warm at night and could not open window beyond a crack. Average value No restaurants (besides hotels) in immediate area.

Hotel is nice but quite far out of town. They advertise everywhere it is 15-20 min to centre of town but it's not. Staff were helpful

We went to 1933 Cafe&Bar for Lunch. Overall cleanliness in serious need of improvement: tables were sticky and covered in crumbs, floors dirty. No friendly welcome from service members, you kind of get ignored. Burgers were somewhat decent, Sourdough bread with shrimps were definitely not fresh, maybe leftovers from breakfast.
Atmosphere in the lobby/bar was chaotic and loud: people came from the pool in wet clothes to have lunch, some people started filing their nails and polishing their toe nails at the table.
Overall a weird experience. Unfortunately would not recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay! Quiet, beautiful views, and the breakfast was amazing! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Positive:
+ Nice, friendly and very helpful staff. Especially the reception.
+ Great design and the location
+ Very comfortable and large parking - with no extra charge
+ Comfortable studio rooms.

Negative:
- Only average+ breakfast.
- Internal restaurant requires booking that is hard to get. 5 nights we spent there and no chance to have a dinner at the hotel's own restaurant.
- Even though the SPA area is great in design, it does require extra payment (ca. DKK 500) which taken the room prices is just greedy...

This is my 6th visit to the Faroes and I always stay here. The location is great, the venue is very nice and everyone is very helpful. And of course the famous breakfasts at Hotel Foroyar!

1. The walk into town is a hike. Just know this takes 35 minutes uphill to get back to where all the restaurants are located.
