Affordable hotel in downtown Maastricht.
Pros:

Great location, the room was comfortable and had everything you'd expect. It was also quite affordable (about 105 Euros). Arguably, I stayed on a Sunday night, which often is the cheapest night to stay hotels, but this is still a lot less that I'd expect to pay in downtown Maastricht. Breakfast was good. There are several à la carte options that are cheaper than the 19.50 breakfast Booking.com mentions. I had eggs Benedict and a cup of tea for about 15 Euros.

Cons:

The room's decor showed some wear and tear, although nothing major.

Ver nice location but the hotel is in desperate need of some serious maintenance

Great location and spacious room

Cons:

The room was filled with a stench coming from the sewer. The staff tried to help with some detergent and air fresheners but the smell quickly returned. As a compensation, they wanted to offer a free breakfast but we declined as we had our hearts set on a different place. Then they offered compensation by removing the late check-out fee, which we never booked!! First adding a cost and then removing it is not offering a discount.

An oasis of calm in the centre of Maastricht.
Pros:

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We visited during the King's Day celebrations and although it is very central, it is really quiet and peaceful. It is set back slightly from the road with attractive outside terraces at the front and the back. The decor is beautiful and very calming. We don't normally eat breakfast at a hotel, but couldn't resist the breakfast on offer at the Fitz Roy - delicious and beautifully presented. The hotel had a lovely "home from home" feel to it. It had great character and rustic charm. We also found it to be good value and staff very friendly.

- man kann keine Fenster kippen nur komplett aufmachen und das war uns zu unheimlich
