Nice staff and breakfast. Room missing a lot of basic stuff.
Apartment not the cleanest ever, but ok, some things like the cutlery literally disgusting, but there is no soap or sponge dish so no surprise

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful the entire time, especially Fatima who checked us in and out. Our room was a good size, comfy beds, excellent air con, fridge and utensils. No kettle but there was a microwave so we used that for tea! Good size balcony with a pull out 4 x washing line which was fab for hanging wet clothes and towels.
We stayed half board so had breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was excellent, so much choice, breads, cheeses, meats, cereal, fruit, yoghurts, bacon, eggs, toast, pastries and very helpfully, non dairy milk! 2 coffee machines and plenty of tea and juice too.
Dinner was great if you are a meat eater but not so much for me as a vegetarian. There was always pasta and a weak tomato sauce on offer but the chefs put meat or seafood in everything which was really disappointing. Meat eaters can eat a vegetable based dinner too so I don't know why there was such a lack of imagination there. Having said that however, once I had asked the kitchen staff what was vegetarian (it was sometimes hard to tell by sight) I then received some special treatment as the chef would come and show me things or offer to make me a separate vegetarian meal of my own. One night the vegetable soup had a lump of meat as a garnish on top, but the chef brought me one without the meat as soon as he saw me. More vegetarian options and food labelling at dinner would make the experience so much better.
The hotel is up a hill but it was no problem for us and certainly wouldn't put me off going unless I have mobility issues or a lot to carry. We walked to the beach everyday - happily the hotel provide a free parasol for the beach and towels for the pool which many guests use for the beach too. They can be collected from the lifeguard at the hotels pool and returned there a few days later to be cleaned. A really great service especially when you are travelling light.
The pool is really lovely, some more parasols next to the sunbeds would be good as people were sharing the shade of them with others. It never really got busy so plenty of room and it was quiet too.
The whole hotel was very clean, the food areas were spotless and continuously maintained and food replenished. Every morning we saw the pool area being cleaned. Our room was cleaned daily by really friendly housekeeping staff, towels are only changed if you put them in the bath, bedding only changed if requested.
The hotel was lovely and quiet overall. Yes you can hear other balcony chairs being scraped but they are quite heavy to move so everyone was in the same boat and it was by no means a problem. We weren't affected by any noise but always travel with earplugs anyway.
All in all, a fab stay and we would definitely holiday here again.

A beautiful quiet hotel/apartments. The staff are friendly and we had bed and breakfast. The breakfast was very good. You have 4 traditional English breakfast choices (bacon, sausage, beans & scrambled eggs), and a multitude of Spanish fresh fruits, yogurts, cheese, cold meats, breads and sweet pastries galore. Food is constantly restocked and area/tables cleaned regularly during service to accommodate new arrivals for breakfast. We found breakfast would see us through to our evening meal. Drinks available around the pool area are a reasonable price, that little bit more than local bars but not too expensive. Room was good size and clean and in good condition. Not the Ritz, but not Ritz prices. Good internet and good air con. It is at the top of the bank, but if you've been to Cala Galdana before, you know there are steps. A great base for the holiday and would recommend.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and our stay has been brilliant. The rooms are spotless, spacious and comfortable. All of the staff we encountered, from receptionists to cleaning staff were really welcoming and great ambassadors for the hotel. The hotel facilities are great; the pool is lovely and padel court was a great surprise to us! No matter what time you go for breakfast, the selection of food is fresh and vast. One of the best things about the hotel is how quiet it is, so peaceful. Thank you again for another excellent stay

In the end, good quality vs costs

Hotel costoso con un servizio scadente, asciugamani sostituiti a fatica, dimenticando spesso il numero degli occupanti. Appartamenti con pavimento rialzato con i vuoti sotto il terreno, piastrelle rotte, armadi rotti … un vero schifo pagato a prezzo di un 4 stelle! Lo sconsiglio vivamente una fregatura da Booking!

Expensive hotel with poor service, towels replaced with difficulty, and the number of occupants was often forgotten. Apartments with raised floors with cavities below the ground, broken tiles, broken wardrobes... a real disgrace for a 4-star hotel! I strongly advise against it; it's a rip-off by Booking.com!

All’arrivo abbiamo riscontrato la presenza di formiche nella stanza. Ci hanno assegnato un’altra stanza, peraltro non idonea per tre persone, nella quale abbiamo subito riscontrato perdite di acqua dal pavimento con continuo allagamento. A quel punto, per fortuna ci hanno assegnato una terza stanza, questa volta idonea per tre persone e in linea con tutto quanto pagato per il soggiorno. Apprezziamo lo sforzo del personale per sistemarci adeguatamente.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ilinion Hotel Cala Galdana – it exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing holiday.

The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety, and dinner offered good-quality dishes. The pool area was spotless, not overlooked, and great for both children and those less mobile thanks to its sloping entry.

Location is ideal – 5 minutes to the harbour and 10 to the beach (note: there’s an uphill walk back). We had a 6-year-old with us and managed daily beach trips with no problem.

Great base for exploring nearby coves: we took a shuttle boat to Cala Macarelleta/Macarella (11€) and a taxi + short walk to Cala Mitjana (8€ taxi to main beach car park and then 15-minute walk). Although both of these Coves can be reached on foot too.

A very well-managed hotel – we’ll recommend it to family and friends and hope to return very soon!

Upon arrival, we were checked in, but reaching our room, it was room unmade. We returned to Reception and were allocated another room.

Our room was in a jaded condition: chipped toilet seat, black mould on bathtub tiles, scuffed walls, no kettle, a smelly and mouldy coffee percolator, no plugs in the kitchen sink, bathroom handbasin, or bath, and only one kids’ channel on the TV.

We reported the lack of plugs to Reception, but they never resolved the issue. We couldn’t use the bath. or wash up plates or cups properly in the sink, due to the cleaning fluid going down the drain. We could only use running water, which was a waste of water.

No one attended to the TV issue (reported).

We were given two kettles!

Other than first morning, the room was unattended by house staff. We ensured the card was on the outside handle facing correctly, to no avail. One consequence was that the loo rolls ran out.

Putting the air conditioning condenser on the balcony floor prevented us from sitting on the balcony while the A/C was running due to noise and hot air it emitted.. Of course, the A/C itself was very good and welcome.

The pool and pool area are good, but there were too few parasols for the sunbeds.

The breakfast was very good and ample choice. However, service didn’t start until 8:00 a.m. , very late IMO. on our final day, we had to leave for the airport before then, yet the hotel charged us for breakfast anyway.

Our ‘shower’ over the bathtub was poor. I’m in my mid-seventies, and I was very agitated to climb over the side without grab rails. The bathtub itself was slippery, and the shower head was grimy. The water was less a shower and more a stream. We expected a walk-in shower.

This is our first complaint in years, so we’re surprised and disappointed.

Needs better management and Illunion should renovate rooms asap.

Hotel très agréable, chambre spacieuse, très propre, climatisée. Coin cuisine que nous n'avons pas utilisé (avec kit vaisselle à disposition). Accueil très agréable du personnel, échanges faciles. Petit déjeuner buffet avec beaucoup de choix, et qualitatif. Salle de repas et zone d'accueil très agréablement décorées. Voyage entre amies pour 2 nuits.

Staff excellent

1. The rooms we stayed in was very humid and had musty air.
2. There is no soundproofing whatsoever, so you can hear everything that happens outside.
3. The wifi didnt reach out room
4. The breakfast buffet was poor. There was food on the floor that wasn't cleaned up promptly by the staff, plates and breakfast items took very long to get replenished. Overall a chaotic breakfast experience.

This was in the beach front search, it’s a 15 / 20 min walk to beach from the top of a steep hill (not good with a 2 year old)

Stayed for a week and didn’t book as part of a package , we booked directly with hotel and paid over 1,000 euro for what basically was a smelly dirty apartment, it was like something that hasn’t been upgraded since the 90’s, stained sofa bed in living area, blind stained , doors marked , the noise of the plumbing from your own apartment and the apartment above , stale smell of cigarettes and not sure what else, didn’t report it as the receptionist that checked us in was rude and unhelpful, breakfast was like a cattle mart , the only positive was the lady at reception on check out was somewhat friendly, Don’t stay here unless u are getting an amazing deal on a package holiday, otherwise avoid at all costs, discovering Cala Galdana loads of better alternatives with much friendlier stafff

We stayed in a small apartment for 3 adults, the room is comfortable and clean. The breakfast is very good even if maybe there are many people but it's high season and it's normal, the food is good quality with international and local specialities.
The swimming pool is clean and nice for children mainly/ The position of the hotel is optimal, close to Cala Galdana , you can reach the first beach in less then 10 min walking and reach other nice and small beaches with walking path. I reccomand this hotel, for family but also for friends.

Pelo custo benefício tivemos uma boa estadia. Para quem tem foco em fazer as praias do Sul, a localização é ótima porque fica bem pertinho das trilhas para Macarella, Macareneta, Cala Turqueta e walking distance da Cala Galdana. O quarto é grande e confortável, só não gostamos muito do chuveiro. O café da manhã em estilo buffet deixa a desejar.
