Room cleanliness and comfort were good, reception staff service was excellent, nothing to much trouble.
Breakfast not buffet style as usual. This time cooked to order with a little to much fat. No toast or preserves offered. Cleanliness and decor in the upper floors not so good. Stair carpet needed a good vacuum and clean.

As it was a contractors hotel, I expected a little noise and was not disappointed, the room did have a little street noise but that is out of hotels control
I thought the staff here were the real highlight, very friendly, personable and polite, the room was very clean, really enjoyed our stay, gave us a good impression of Workington (which isn't always a given...)
The street it was on wasn't the best, but we knew that, we know the area in general can sometimes carry a reputation, it's no problem really,
All the staff we met where very nice and helpful. Drinks where good. Breakfast was brilliant. And there cheese and onion sandwich withe the chips . Best I've tasted. And the guy behind the bar was great. Second time we have stayed there now.

Staff very helpful, breakfast good and the wake staged went very well with attentive staff.
Bedroom was a shambles. Very poor condition of room with wooden plank under mattress to support it. Offered another room next night but decided it was better to leave early.

The let down was the smoking area while I realise it's very small it could do with a bench seat or two and some imagination put in to it

Good location, comfortable bed. Adequate for a one night stay. Staff were lovely and breakfast was wonderful.
