The location was great. The receptionist was welcoming and very helpful
The 2 bedroom suite was very smelly and had a lingering odour. We could see greasy palm and finger tip marks on the cupboards above the cooker. Later that evening we needed to use the microwave and discovered a takeaway container with Butter Chicken had been in there so long it had started to grow mould which explained why the place did not smell very nice. There were only 2 sachets of sugar left for guests to use. The seat top for the small chair under the desk needs repairing as it came away from the frame. One of the two lounge suites in the lounge and dining areas is very worn out and needs replacing. The fabric was pilling and did not look nice. The colour scheme in the entrance hallway needs upgrading to a better colour, too dark. The carpet is stained and should be replaced. It would be fantastic if there was more local artwork displayed on the walls that reflect local indigenous artists. Overall the communal areas need upgrading to reflect the price they charge.
Friendly staff , clean , close to town , great pool
No everything was great
Always a pleasure 🙏
Beautiful calm river view 💙
Customer service 🤌
That we had to leave 😆
Bed was really comfy. The amenities like spa bath shower, toilet, decent fridge, microwave little dishwasher and cutlery plates and cook stop oven was all good.
TV was tiny for the rate you are paying. River view of a port with a big ship getting loaded all night aint worth the extra money we paid to get it, would of been $100 cheaper to look at the warehouse carpark.... also they didnt give us any spare toilet paper rolls and middle of the night was when that was realised. The reception welcome was ok but not very informative. Like usual things are to let you know where the wifi code can be found not assumed its at the front door on the wall where you walk right past it because you usually look inside the room on first entrance not at the wall. First time ever I've seen it there and I've stayed in hundreds of places. We were directed up the staircase to our room instead of give options to use the lifts around the corner. Not a major but if you have new guests with heavy luggage to take up the options given should of been the stairs are there to your rooms or the lifts around here so the guest feels they can use both options... i also had to ask how do i get to my room as well so not sure if that was gonna be told to me. Main point is dont assume in guest service. Overall for $360 for one night in room 215. I wont be coming back. I found i can spend $180 down the road for a much better view of the river and closer to town walking distance.
Location
The bed was to soft, and there was only two towels.
ontvangst was netjes
Super clean, comfortable and very spacious, plus a great location.
Great location and friendly staff
No bar or restaurant onsite
Close to beach and had a pool.
The staff were very helpful, I had a situation come up and contacted the hotel before our arrival, I spoke with Amanda, told her the issue, she was very helpful during my moment of panic, thanks for that! It truly helped a lot.
I enjoyed the bed, it was so comfy, the room seemed a lil smaller then it looked online but it was fine for what we needed it for and I will be choosing to stay next time we are In gissy, lovely staff, beautiful hotel, clean and......the coffee machine in the lobby was a highlight, not having to go find a coffee shop actually perfect for guests! Great idea so keep it going!
Rooms had everything we needed to cook and even had a dishwasher, microwave, and oven too !!! I like that there was no mini bar in the room. But I saw they had a few items in the lobby available to purchase which is a much better idea. The pool was lovely and great for adults, good signage to watch ur kids cos it's 1.6m deep, they offer sunscreen and some swimming floats, and towels are available from reception, with comfortable sun loungers available to relax on poolside .
Tbh, it was only a few small things, I like those lil welcome books places used to have, the ones that tell you about the hotel, what's available such as laundry room, spas, saunas gym etc, ya know where to find things.
I don't even know if they had laundry facilities, although these things may have been online,but.... it's nice not to have to look things up on the net all the time.
It's actually the first thing I look for when I go into a room is those "welcome booklets.
Apart from that, there was a slight smell coming from the shower, but I was told by locals it's the water.....so I'm guessing it's a local issue not a hotel issue,
we could hear the machines across at the port loading boats, but that was ok, would have felt a lil more comfortable if the rooms had a lil more sound proofing for the hallway as u could literally hear anyone who was walking in and out., overall amazing hotel would recommend, however will definitely be upgrading next time we stay
Location was good
Very tight room for what you pay, bed was firmish.....not a good sleep
Free coffee in the foyer
They advertised a gym but there were 3 cardio machines in a very tiny room and 2 of those machines were out of order
