Pepperclub Hotel

We ate at Copa restraunt for the Christmas day buffet. The desserts and cheese were at the entrance of the restraunt which seemed an odd place to put it.

The starters were a couple of salads, tongue and corned beef slices.

The main food was Luke warm and in heated pots which seemed more like a 2 star buffet breakfast, than a 5 star hotel Christmas dinner. There was only one guy serving the meats, Yorkshire puddings, slicing the stuffing and pouring your gravy!! (There was one redwine gravy for all the meats, even the Turkey). By time you got your meats, which were at the end of the buffet counter, the sides were all cold. My meal was microwaved as it was cold. There was no apology from staff, no real interaction from them even when our table wasn't laid properly with cutlery. When we asked for a knife for the cheese and a plate, that's exactly what we got. No plates to eat from just a plate to put cheese on and one knife between 3 of us!!!
It was a very disappointing Dinner especially from a 5 star hotel.

I booked this hotel for my family and I for a week and I’m already planning my next return. The service was great, the breakfast had a solid selection and it was in a great location. I didn’t have any issues and the staff was attentive to our every need. I highly recommend, it was great value for money and I feel like the hotel had great attention to detail. My only regret was not staying for longer and making the most of the facilities. Hopefully there will be a next time!

We had 1 night here for our last night in CT but had but this hotel off in the past due to being located in the CBD district as we normally stay right on the V&A waterfront.

I can say this is a fantastic hotel, they offer free shuttle service to the V&A waterfront starting at 10am and return 2 hourly and first return from entrance 2 in V&A mall from 12:30 every 2 hours until 20:30.

Also Ubers are super cheap and easy to get to if needed if you need to get back earlier costing around 45/70 Rand around £2/£3 each way.

The room was super clean comfy and great bathroom with a walk in shower.

Our room didn’t have a hairdryer in for my wife but called reception and they handed us one within 10 minutes so they are available.

Lots of wardrobe space with a safety deposit box and workspace with TV with DSTV if you fancied watching any TV at night before bed.

The hotel offers a spa / gym / pool and a movie theatre room but we couldn’t locate this in the short time (wish we’d found it)

The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had on our trip with a very good selection of pastries / cereals / fruits yoghurts etc and a menu for hot breakfast and option for a proper cappuccino/ flat white if needed.

I wis we stayed at this hotel on our first trip to SA in July 2024 but so glad we have as we would so stay here again.

Good security, key card only allows you up to your floor of your room and floor 8 this is where spa / gym and pool are located.

The hotel is decorated stunningly and I do believe parking is either free if you stay or is charged 25 Rand per hour but is a lot of conflicting information around this so couldn’t say 100% certain on this.

We only stayed 2 nights and it was booked through a travel agent so we didn’t actually choose it but we were more than happy with our stay. It’s in a good location to easily get a short uber to the main v&a waterfront. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly. Short but sweet stay.

What an incredible stay. Very central from bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The staff were excellent very friendly. The breakfast was plentiful. Didn’t get the opportunity to use the gym, spa or pool but all looked very well looked after. Would definitely recommend and for sure we will come back

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel for business purposes. Overall, the room and breakfast were very good, but that’s where the hotel’s charm ended. Upon check-in, I was asked to pay a deposit of 2,500 ZAR. The staff did not pre-authorize the amount—they charged my card outright. At check-out, the amount was not refunded, and I was informed it would take 3–7 days. Despite multiple attempts to clarify the situation with the hotel and repeated promises, the money has still not been returned to my card.

Another issue was the invoice. The hotel only issued it after an intervention from Booking.com, who had to cite contract clauses to make it happen.

For these reasons, I do not recommend this hotel. I feel that my credit card was charged improperly and without justification.

I booked direct with them by email, this was an efficient process. They were very helpful. I also booked the Cayenne Spa onsite in advance by email - they were also super helpful in making sure I got my booking sorted out. Check in was friendly and welcoming, the staff there were all very charming and helpful.
I recommend the spa, a lovely relaxing experience!
My room was a nice size with a balcony and a mountain view - more or less. I was on floor 10 on the front side of the hotel. My room was quiet and comfortable. My colleagues who had rooms on 6 at the back of the hotel commented there was a lot of noise from the bars on Long Street audible there. So I would always specify to have a quiet room at the front of the hotel.
Breakfast was a good buffet, I did not try the a la carte. Food in the on site restaurant was excellent in the evening. Catering and bar staff were great.
There are plenty of other bars, restaurants, etc, nearby to try also.
The hotel is well located for central Cape Town / CBD. Company's Garden is a short walk, They have a car service to the Waterfront also. In Cape Town Uber is always only 1min away...
I did not use the gym, my colleague said it was good.
Checkout was easy and efficient, concierge was on point. Everything was very good.

My stay at Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town was, without exaggeration, one of the best hospitality experiences I have ever had. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the V&A Waterfront and Camps Bay. This made exploring Cape Town effortless and removed the need to rely on Urbers which was an excellent added benefit.
A special appreciation goes to Lindsay from the management team. She was exceptional. Her professionalism, warmth and detailed approach made every interaction a pleasure especially while discussing options for future private events. The event spaces at Pepperclub deserve special mention. They are modern, beautifully designed and incredibly versatile making them suitable for everything from executive meetings and corporate gatherings to intimate celebrations and weddings. The flow, layout and atmosphere strike a perfect balance between elegance and comfort which makes the property an easy top contender for anyone planning an event in Cape Town.
Another unforgettable highlight was the private Cape Point tour offered through the hotel. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Our guide, Noogh, created an experience that went far beyond anything a third party tour could provide. His knowledge of local history, culture and hidden scenic spots added depth to every stop. His calm nature, safe and smooth driving style, warm personality and thoughtful pacing made the entire day feel effortless and special. We left the tour feeling even more connected to Cape Town thanks to him.
Pepperclub is more than a place to stay. It is a place that leaves you with memories, genuine connections and a desire to return. If you are visiting Cape Town and want an elevated yet personal experience, this hotel is the one.

Pepperclub Hotel was very comfortable, welcoming, and clean. The food was excellent and the service was great. Definitely would recommend.

Decent accommodation and location. The service and friendliness of staff was amazing. But the noise at long street at night can be disturbing

Stayed at Pepperclub for a business trip. The service was exceptional and the dining options are great. Breakfast variety was great and for a quick bite Ruby's fill the gap. PS the Spicy Thai Chicken salad is amazing!!

The hotel seems nice, but the phone to call the front desk did not work. The WiFi password that you have to obtain via a QR code did not work. When we brought this to the attention of the desk clerk he acted as though we didn’t know how to use the QR code. It turns out that the password had not been updated. He insisted that he put the password in on my phone. When I insisted that he give me the password, he acted put out. He seemed annoyed that the problem was with the password and not me.

This was a lovely 5 star hotel
Rooms clean and beautiful. Only a couple of strange things. There was microwave but no utensils or cutlery. A lovely balcony but no chairs ot no table whatsoever

I had a very bad experience with a staff at the bar who was very rude. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and very helpful. If not for them I would’ve rated staff and serve as horrible!
The rooms are very comfortable and neat. I love the rooms. They are luxurious indeed.
I noticed my sheets were not changed in a week! I thought this was really bad!!
There’s some construction work going on opposite the hotel and this is beyond their control I guess but it makes the front of the hotel dirty and too noisy.

The gym was well equipped with a sauna which caters for both men and women together which a bit awkward
