We stayed here when moving my son into UNC Chapel Hill. We were excited for orientation and for his new adventure as a college student! This hotel has friendly staff at the front desk. Lucy and the others were all great! I would do 5 stars if not for breakfast. Towards the end of the week, it got really busy because of college move-in day and they didn’t have enough food. The hot food was done at 8:40and when I asked about it, the lady told me they close at 9 so they’re done cooking. Another lady told me it was already done 10 min earlier than when I asked. I certainly irritated the breakfast lady with all my questions, asking for a bowl, any food, milk, napkins.. you get the idea. They should plan for hotel capacity on any given day. They could have checked at 8:30 and seen it needs a refill and so cook more. Or even better, they could’ve checked at 8 AM and saw it was half empty or whatever at that point and cook some eggs.

Reservation had a few hiccups but, Lucy at the front desk went way above and beyond to make sure things were fixed and help anyway she could. Greatly appreciated! That alone made the experience top tier.

Travis went above and beyond to demonstrate customer service and to ensure our morning went smoothly and our stay exemplary.

The bar was exceptionally great. Renee was a great host at the bar her customer service was impeccable and I would come again and again.

Lucy C at the front desk is the BEST! The staff in the kitchen rocks and the cleaning staff is so friendly. Stayed here so many times and highly recommend!

This is our second time staying here and we had another lovely experience. The staff are always helpful and kind. Asia and Lucy were most helpful but they are all great. Thanks for another great stay.

Chapel Hill NC. At check-in Lucy C was a great help. She gave restaurant recommendations that were helpful.
At check-out Asia made sure our stay was comfortable. We missed breakfast but Asia went to the kitchen and gave us food and juice to go. We were very appreciative. We will definitely be returning but under a more joyous occasion.

Asia is super professional and very helpful! She's very attentive and always presents a big smile when assisting, she's also makes sure Im appreciated as a platinum member!

Wanted to express my sincere gratitude to the entire staff at the Springhill Suites (Durham, Chapel Hill), 5310 McFarland Drive, Durham NC. I've had eight stays over the past month. Each stay, upon arrival I was always greeted with a warm and friendly smile, and reminded that they were happy I chose to stay with the Marriott family. After the first two stays, the majority of the staff recognized me and ensured all of my first floor lodging requests were accommodated. The manager deserves kudos for a well trained staff!

There is one particular front desk employee that deserves a huge SHOUT-OUT for going out of his way to find a pair of headphones I accidentally left in the room. After departing the hotel and being several hours away, it dawned on me that I didn't have my headphones. Immediately I called the hotel - Jose answered. I explained the situation to Jose, who immediately went to the room to look for the lost item. He wasn't able to locate the headphones based on where I thought I left them. He told me if housecleaning found them he would be sure to let me know. I assumed i would never see the headphones again.

Low and behold a day later, I noticed I had a message on my work phone. The message was from Jose, who called to let me know that he went back to the room and did a thorough sweep of the room and found the headphones. He wanted to let me know the headphone would be held in the office. I can't tell you how happy I was to know that Jose went out of his way to look for the headphones! This is just an example of the hard work that the entire staff at this location do for me and I assume other guests as well.

This morning I had the pleasure of seeing Jose, who immediately thank me for the return stay. Jose should be groomed for positions of higher responsibility!

All future visits to Durham requiring an overnight stay will be booked at the SpringHill Suites in Durham.

When we checked in the gentleman at the desk was rude. When we got to our floor it smelled very musty. The layout was a little weird but it fit everything into the room. We didn’t eat breakfast but it appeared to have a nice selection. The lady at the desk when we left was very friendly.

After having gone through a tough time social services provided a room for my toddlers and I. It was a two bed suite and my gosh I was so lost for words upon entering. Not only was it clean but the decor the design everything surpassed my expectations. It was so spacious. The breakfast was a joy and convenient for us. I felt safe and i was able to get some great sleep and let my kids play and enjoy themselves. I would stay here forever if I could.

Excellent service! An employee named Asia was incredibly helpful and kind to my entire family. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, which is why we decided to return two days later and stay again at the SpringHill Suites Durham Chapel Hill, NC. Employees like her truly make the difference. Thank you, Asia, for your outstanding hospitality!

Great location plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Very clean and very quiet hotel great breakfast and friendly staff.

Location was perfect. We needed to be at Duke Hospital. Staff was wonderful. Front desk Asia was so delightful, friendly and helpful!! We had an awesome lady Renee at the bar!! The cocktails were delicious!! Renee was warm, funny, friendly!! I couldn't ask for anything more,, she was a delight!! She was willing to make anything we wanted and gave us great options!! She definitely went above and beyond!! She made our night relaxing and enjoyable!! That southern hospitality was everything we needed after a very stressful day at the hospital!!
