If you are looking for the Ritz, this ain't it. What you will have is a great location, at a great price, peace and tranquility. Spend your day in the lagoon, right off their deck, maybe some Kayaking. Very friendly staff. Will come again!

El muelle a la laguna fue lo mejor…

This place is like glamping! The Wifi was weak and it was over priced!

I love the quietness of this place and the easy access to the lagoon at this property.

La pasamos bien, no como quisiera por pequeños incidentes con el baño pero considero que la mayor parte que pasé ahí fue agradable, tiene buena comunicación con la hermosa laguna de Bacalar

Nous avons aimés l’accès directe au lac, la courtoisie des employés de l’établissement et la tranquillité. Les hamacs extérieurs étaient bien, les chaises n’ont pas de coussin, donc un peu moins confortable. Vous aurez besoin de prendre un taxi pour vous rendre au centre (ou 45 min à pieds). Sommes toute bien pour l’accessibilité au lac.

Buen lugar, tranquilo y seguro. La sección de la laguna donde está muy bonita, los decks y área de sillas es muy buena. Podría mejorar en ofrecer servicio de restaurante

Great access to lagoon.

Terrible customer service, unsafe and out of date facilities. This place survives on the fact that it’s right on the lagoon.
We arrived and were greeted warmly. They reserved a taxi for us for the next day, and when we asked for towels for the lagoon they said they could provide extra with no problem, never mentioned a fee. The lady was very eager to get us to buy kayak service but we kindly declined it. Late that evening when I showered I slipped and fell hard on my right glute. The shower is all slick tile with nothing to keep you from slipping, not grips, not a Mat, nothing, it also on a very steep grade.
I complained to the staff and informed my brothers to put a towel on the floor and on the shower floor as they are bigger guys. I let them know that I would probably give them a low rating as I had to take pain meds and my glute was inflamed. I was very angry but nonetheless kept my cool. The manager said I was in my right and understood. Hadn’t paid yet and decided to eat next door. I told them to take the situation into account and they said they would talk to upper management. I let them know that if this was serious they would have to pay for any medical expenses related to the accident (I was in a lot of pain and really trying to keep my composure).
When I got back they informed me that I would get a 10% discount. I thought this was an insult and got a bad attitude from the front desk staff. That night I only slept 3 hours.I found that they have a lot of terrible reviews and regretted it because the room only had a fan and was super hot.In the morning I heard the manager say “man I don’t know if the taxi charge was per person or per cab” at this point I was tired of their lack of professionalism and just walked outside and hailed my own cab for less. I asked her to cancel the taxi (it was still 22 minutes to the time and it’s a small town). She became upset and immediately asked about our towels. I grabbed them from the room(we were checked out) and she wanted to charge us for them. I reminded her that no one informed us they had a charge and that those types of things need to be said up front. She gave me attitude and said that the cancellation of the taxi should have been said up front as well. I told her that it felt like she was trying to get her “discount” back. She then told me that the floor had not been wet and front staff heard nothing regarding my fall, at this point I reminded her that I fell INSIDE the shower and wasn’t going to play these bait and switch games and got in my taxi.

NUNCA ME RECIBIERON, POR MAS QUE HABLE POR TELEFONO

The service was great. My husband and I were comfortable. The location is perfect, 10 min walking to the beach, and 15 min walking to el centro.

Cuando llegamos estaba cerrado, nos atendieron pasada una hora y mientras nosotros afuera porque estaba cerrado el porton de acceso.

No muy limpio no tenían agua caliente al siguiente día no tenia agua para bañarme ni tampoco servicio ese cafe

Descuidado el hotel, sin agua, no podíamos ir al baño porque no había agua por ningún lado,

Cuando llegamos el hotel no tenia registrada nuestra reservacion con la excusa de que no trabaja con la pagina de hoteles.com porlo que nos tuvieron que acomodar en otra habitacion que no habiamos reservado y pagado con anticipacion, nos ofrecieron cortesias como compensacion dd este incidente las cuales nos las terminaron dando de mala gana, de igual manera solicitamos facturacion a la llegada del establecimiento la cual nunca enviaron

Chambre sale et insalubre. Odeur de moisi. Salle de bain salle. Aucune sécurité. Baie vitrée ne ferme pas. Le personnel est inexistant tout comme les services. A fuir

En gustos se rompen géneros, en lo personal no me gusto, las camas muy feas en cuanto comodidad, el baño muy feo y pequeño, la atención del personal es excelente, ubicación buena.

Kayaks and life vests were under repair so not available for use. Rooms are very simple - our bed had hair all over it so had to have manager replace sheets - polyester sheets. No A/C - suffered worst hot night in bed - did not sleep.
