En engelsk dröm!
Pros:

Underbart hotell!

Always a pleasure to stay here
Pros:

It's always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. You are greeted by the owner who always makes you feel welcome. The hotel is in a great location, and family run, to a very high standard. There isn't anything that they haven't thought of, including proper china cups and chocolates on the pillow. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in. In fact, I sleep better at the Grovefield, than at home!!!!! The property is furnished and decorated sympathetically for the period of the property and it's always spotless. The continental breakfast is varied and offers lovely fresh fruit, crumpets, porridge, croissants, cereal, yoghurts, fruit juice etc etc. All lovely. The staff are exceptional as it is family owned, and they take a pride in their business. We have stayed at the Grovefield Manor Hotel many times, and hopefully we'll stay many more. We can highly recommend it.

Cons:

Nothing

I Do Not Recommend This Hotel To Anyone
Cons:

I had a very bad experience at this hotel and I do not recommend it to anyone. When I checked in, the owner immediately complained to me about my Booking.com reservation. He said, “Why did you book through Booking.com? Now I have to pay them commission,” and gave me a whole lecture. That already felt unprofessional. When I entered the room during a heatwave, I expected a 4‑star hotel to have air conditioning, but there was none. I went downstairs to ask for a fan, and he told me all the fans were taken and there were none left. The room was also not clean. There was damp on the wall and dust on the bed board. The next morning at 9:00am, the owner woke me up by knocking on my door, telling me I must check out by 10:30 or I would get a fine.I checked out at 10:45 and he charged me a £30 late checkout fee. When I told him I didn’t like the way he was speaking to me, he said he swore at me. His wife then came out, and when I told her her husband was being rude, she also swore at me and threatened to call the police. This hotel needs to be re‑assessed because it is not 4 stars. It is not even close to 2 stars. Very rude owners, dirty room, no AC, no fan, and unfair charges.

Pros:

The hotel is very near Branksome Chine beach and a nice pub the Inn on the Park. Very helpful in sorting out the booking. Rooms comfortable.

Cons:

I enjoyed the breakfast which was very nice - cereal, crumpets yoghurt and fruit. There is no cooked full English breakfast though so if you are looking for that this is not the hotel for you.

Ok for a night stay, but wouldn’t stay there again.
Pros:

Great location, very close to the beach

Cons:

There wasn’t any fresh air in the reception or sitting room area. It smelled more like an old antique shop than a 5-star manor hotel.

Considering the price we paid for the largest room, it didn’t feel worth it. There was no air conditioning for the summer, no fan, and the windows only opened slightly. The biggest issue, though, was the visible mould showing through underneath the wallpaper.

The breakfast area was nice and well presented. The staff were pleasant enough, but the breakfast was just like any standard continental breakfast you can get elsewhere. Nothing particularly special, and there were no gluten-free or vegan options available.

Pros:

location was excellent

Cons:

sadly i feel the whole place could do with an update/upgrade. There was mould in the bathroom, no refridgerator in the room, a charge for corking and ice! No fan in this extreme heat. Although the elderly host was pleasant enough he almost forgot to give us the key to the room and stated that he 'hated people that arrived late at night'! - might be an idea to let him retire and get someone a little younger in!
