Hotel is only a short walk to the beach, staff are very polite and helpful,
Bed was very comfy, great hotel if you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep for the night, has basic amenities but if you are looking for a luxury stay I wouldn’t recommend, was great for us as we were out all day and just used the room to shower and sleep
Is run down and could really do with some TLC, have stayed here many times but over the years the decor has stayed the same, room was very warm but we did stay during a heatwave
The staff was good and friendly.
I was quite disappointed with my stay. The rooms were very poorly maintained and felt outdated. The carpets were old and worn, and the TV looked like it was at least 20 years old. Overall, the room was in need of refurbishment.
The corridor was also very noisy, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The shower pressure was extremely low, which was frustrating.
To make matters worse, it was a very hot day, but there was no air conditioning or even a fan provided in the room. The heat made it very uncomfortable, and we struggled to sleep throughout the night.
Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet my expectations.
Accessibility to most things
A bit dated , TV didn't work properly and it was too small. It also had a old smell in the room
Location and pool
Very poor mattress not comfortable at all
Staff not friendly
The location was convenient, and the room appeared reasonably clean at first glance. The staff were polite, and the hotel offers good facilities for the price.
Unfortunately, both my husband and I were bitten by what appeared to be bed bugs during our one-night stay in Room 11. We caught one of the insects, which strongly confirmed our concern. I informed the hotel after our stay, not to request compensation, but simply so they could inspect the room and arrange professional pest control if necessary. Their response was disappointing, as they stated they would not be instructing a pest control company to inspect the room. I believe this is a serious issue that should be investigated for the safety of future guests. The room was also very dated, and the mirrors had not been cleaned properly.
Good location. Must be a popular place because the hotel was sold out. It has an indoor pool which was popular with the guests. The owners/managers were friendly.
When I walked in my room it was clear it hadn’t been cleaned. Used towels on the bath, dirty coffee cup, unemptied trash and a slept in bed that had dirt and hair in the covers. I walked back to reception and was offered another room which was clean. There are several buildings to the hotel and only the main one has an elevator which only holds a couple people at a time. There wasn’t a single fan to be had despite the hot temperatures so the room was like a sauna. Might be considered value for money for the area but not a place I would stay at again. Parking is limited and tight if you have a larger vehicle. Several guests parked on the grass. The carpet and decor is very dated, which didn’t bother me but the pillows were awful.
Clean and close by all i needed
Nice service
Room was stuffy and had to air it, slept with the window open.
Breakfast was good and the bed was exceptional.
The wifi was very bad and kept on disconnecting.
Not having enough toiletries eg shower gel.
Not being able to serve dinner at the premises and being inconvenienced to going out to look for food.
Location was good. Maid service was very good.
Very basic, tv too small to watch, beds not very comfortable & duvet was heavy.
It’s an old property as stated but there are some simple things that could be improved on.
Good location for working in Bournemouth; plenty of parking spaces when I arrived. Really friendly and helpful staff at reception for check-in. The bedroom and shower room were nice and clean.
Nothing really bad, but everything - the rooms, the decor, the room facilities - were just a bit old, tired and heavily used (It's a big, sprawling, old building, so I'm sure it takes tonnes of upkeep).
It had a swimming pool….but it needed a deep clean.
Very old fashioned decoration and old bedding etc.
No a/c so very hot and no air.
No shower curtain over the bath.
Very noisy in the evenings from noisy guests in adjacent rooms to the very loud road noise from the racetrack main road just outside the bedroom window.
Location, only a short walk into the main area of Bournemouth
Its very outdated, reminded me of Faulty toweres
