Pros:

We only wanted a place to sleep for one night. The staff were very friendly and helpful The hotel was tired, not spotlessly clean but clean enough. The room was huge and the bed was comfy and very clean. There were tea and coffee faculties in the room. The en-suite was clean, lovely large towel. For a 2 star hotel I wasn’t expecting much as used to 4 or 5 star but would stay there again if needs be. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment about the food.
No trouble with the parking. We did stay midweek.

Cons:

The hotel could have been a bit cleaner and a lick of paint.

Disaster, never again .
Pros:

One member of staff was amazing. Friendly and just a genuinely happy person . The other was rude . And very unwelcoming.

Cons:

Rude staff. Mold in the room . Stains all over the carpets and beds . Beds that was falling to bits . The matresses was so uncomfortable, They don't do breakfast you have to go to there other hotel for it . Music was bellowing out throughout the hotel until the early hours . Not what you want when you book family rooms . A TV that we'll even I don't know what happened to that screen . My daughter and partner have been bitten by either bed bugs or flees . Could not get out of the hotel soon enough!

Worth it on a budget - far more than 'you get what you pay for'
Pros:

As others have said, staff were fantastic, really helpful, very pleasant and willing to share local knowledge and make you feel welcome. Housekeeping checked in every day to see if there was anything that needed topping up. Really nice unexpected touch was little bottles of shampoo/shower gel etc (this is pitted as a 'bargain' type hotel so you wouldnt normally get little things like that). Also provided bottles of water, not just the standard tea/coffee which was great, and biscoff biscuits. Towels were really big, which were perfect as well as hangers in the room with enough hanging space for a short stay. The plug sockets either side of the bed were great and as a bonus each had USB sockets included. The location of the hotel is also absolutely spot on
The Skuba bar is attached to the hotel and as others have also commented, once you close the door to your room, you cant hear anything so isnt an issue

Cons:

Remember this is a budget hotel so dont complain if you dont find certain 5 star elements - the hotel is more than great for the price you pay though. Yes it is a little worn and yes could do with redecorating in certain areas but as long as you dont have unrealistic expectations, it should more than meet your needs for a great stay. The only key downside with the room I had was no net curtains (and it wasnt a biggie) - it meant the room was completely overlooked by the hotel across the road. You can just close the curtains each time but is a bit of a faff during the daytime having to do it every time you want to get changed, come out of the shower etc but definitely not the end of the world

Comfortable but tired.
Pros:

Both the room and en suite were spacious (the en suite had a lovely large sized basin) I had something of a sea-view which was unexpected. The hotel was well located for my purposes. The kettle was full size and boiled quickly. I was gladly given more teabags when I requested them. Towels were clean and presented on the bed with shower-gel, shampoo and conditioner.

Cons:

The decor was very tired and tatty. There were odd marks on the paintwork along the walls and a large damp patch high up in one corner. Silly little thing but the finials were missing from the Head of the bed-frame. The room was hot. BUT they had provided a decent sized fan to try and mitigate that. The "shelf" in the shower was a sort of cage affair (fair enough) but the shower gel etc. fell through between the bars so it was ultimately redundant. The toilet roll was a large industrial "snail shell" type dispenser on the wall. It just made the whole thing seem... poorly done.
