Great location in town with heartfelt heritage and staff. Prime place to stay in Tulbagh.
Pros:

The staff is really friendly. The room was great and a very respectable size/value for money (pillows were also amazing). Location is very central.

Excellent Hotel and restaurant, and staff and location.
Pros:

Lovely colonial style experience with very friendly staff in an excellent location. There is actually nothing lot to like.

Cons:

I liked everything, which probably isn't a very helpful answer, but I did. I suppose if I had to find something I didn't like it would be it's slightly too expensive.

Lovely stay, friendly staff.
Pros:

We loved the decor and the friendly staff. The restaurant is excellent. The room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The fireplace was a highlight.

Cons:

The boom for the parking area did not work. The street is very busy and safety is a concern. The parking is not on the premises instead you need to walk down this very busy street to your car in a separate parking area away from the hotel.

Make sure of the room you choose
Pros:

We stayed in a room opposite the hotel. It is well located, withing walking distance of everything. Comfortable bath room.

Cons:

The bedroom was dark and the lights were difficult to work, not always working and did not provide enough light. Very frustrating. Our room was right on the street, so we mostly had to keep the curtains drawn. Tulbach is a very expensive town. We chose the cheapest option - perhaps other rooms are better.

Well situated and charming.
Pros:

Nicely situated in centre of Town, but very quiet. Lovely outdoor and indoor dining. The staff were all charming and very helpful and the meal choices good.

Centrally located, and the auxiliary buildings across the street are in the most beautiful setting you can think of. Staff is very nice too.

Breakfast was good, so was coffee. Just no place to put our vanities in bathroom. Beds are nice but TV has a backlight that lite up the room.

The staff were stellar! Friendly, responsive and accommodating.

Cons:

The rodents in the ceiling above our room meant that we did not sleep at all from their movements all night.
