Zest Boutique Hotel

Excellent place!! Lots of character, beautiful rooftop area. Mali and Natalie could not have been nicer and more fun. Everything in a nice location very central. Thank you!!!

After staying at their hotel in Hermanus, I went to this hotel in Cape Town. And I was again amazed by the staff. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. It is small scale, so you really feel like coming home at the end of the day. Breakfast is great. The room was amazing. Very clean. Nice bed. The location is perfect, close to good restaurants and a supermarket in a safe area. So I would surely recommend this hotel.

Good location close to the waterfront, very clean and tasteful facilities, confortable beds,friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, thoughtful details.

A great boutique hotel, lovely decor and everywhere is well kept. The staff are so friendly and helpful with a nice breakfast and even afternoon cake. Free tea and coffee all day!
You are an easy 10 minute wall to the Waterfront. There were some really nice restaurants near the hotel.
We stayed 6 nights and all the tours picked us up from the hotel. The hop on hop off bus we picked up from the Waterfront.
Would really recommend the Silver mist Drumstruck experience and organic wine tasting.

Lovely stay at Zest Boutique Hotel. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The location is quiet with a view of Signal Hill and Table Mountain from the roof. Walking distance to the V&A (felt safe during the day) and a quick and cheap Uber in the evening.

All was good and comfortable. Room a bit small if staying for more than 3 days but the room we stayed in had a balcony with a new view of the mountains. Area where hotel is located is quite and staff were all very nice and offered a service with a smile.

What a gorgeous beautifully appointed property with the loveliest staff who all without exception went the extra mile to make us feel at home. Our room was lovely and breakfasts fantastic, the daily freshly baked cake for afternoon tea is a special extra. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend ZEST for a well situated and memorable stay in CT

The Zest Hotel was an unexpected delight and a highlight of our visit to Cape Town. The staff was very attentive. Tatenda, in Guest Services, took extra good care of us and went above and beyond in helping us with dinner reservations as well as local transportation. Natalie, the manager, made sure that everything ran smoothly. We were so surprised at the extensive hot and cold breakfast options which were included with the price of the room. Delicious! And what a lovely treat to have a freshly baked cake waiting for us in the lounge area each afternoon. Another delightful surprise was their gin and tonic bar. We just wished that we could have stayed there longer.

An absolutely fabulous experience here! Hotel is a beautiful botique hotel, tucked in a very quiet spot but just minutes to walk to the V&A Waterfront as well as numerous restaurants. Hotel was very well equipped, comfortable, spotless and quiet. Natalie and her team were beyond fantastic. Our luggage was lost upon arrival and every staff person became engaged in worrying for us and more importantly, helping us to get our luggage. No question without their help we would not have retreived our luggage in two days. And it felt like they were just as concerend as we were! Truly amazing and wonderful staff. Every single staff person we encountered was warm, friendly, welcoming and working so hard to ensure our needs were met. The icing on the cake was the owner of the hotel contacted me to thank me for staying there! This was my fourth trip to Cape Town and if I ever have the good fortune to go again, I would absolutely book Zest. I cannot recommend it enough. I wish all hotels were like this one. I have been travelling for work and pleasure for more than 40 years and have stayed at hotels around the world and this truly is an exceptional one. You will have an exerience unparalled.

The rooms are clean and very big. We felt very comfortable and welcome. We were lucky to have a great view from our balcony.
The garden area and the rooftop terrace were both beautifully arranged with a stunning view, from the roof top. We would fully recommend to everyone who’s asking us , where to stay in Cape Town.

This hotel is stylish and small, which means you are so well looked after.

We stayed for quite a few nights whilst in Cape Town. The interior is very stylish, including the small courtyard. The rooms are great. During the day it’s a very short walk down to the waterfront. At night, and for the airport transfers, the staff can arrange for the driver Peter to help you, and he was really lovely, always able to bring us back after dinner.

The breakfast was great, with a continental buffet and then cooked options off the menu.

The staff went above and beyond to be helpful for us. They kindly held onto our spare luggage for a few days when we went elsewhere and then returned.

A great boutique hotel option if you want to be central in Cape Town

The Team was more than friendly! We loved it there. Thank you for this amazing stay. We will definetly come back. Maybe in the Summer time as we would love to ecplore more of beautiful cape town.

We can also recomment the shuttle and spa. All in all we really liked it.

Recently on a return trip to Cape Town I stayed two nights at the Zest Boutique Hotel and a had a really great experience. In March I had stayed at a sister property nearby, The Treehouse Boutique Hotel, so I was confident the experience at the Zest would also be good and was not disappointed. The “vibe” is modern and very stylish and I love this neighborhood…but, like The Treehouse, what especially stands out is the staff - ALL of them are an absolute delight and took care of me like I was family, including Peter who I had gotten to know from my earlier stay at the Treehouse, when he provided transfers to and from the airport. I can highly recommend this property - oh, and the daily cake is a special treat to look forward to.

Husband and I are just home from a perfect 8 nights staying at Zest Boutique Hotel. Everything is clean , the staff are so helpful and welcoming and the location is a 15 minute walk to V&A and only a 5 min walk to good restaurants/bars. The room was spacious and well tended daily. We enjoyed coming back around 5pm for the complimentary "cake of the day" and a coffee/tea, such a lovely and very much appreciated touch. The breakfast choice is good and arrived quickly and well presented . There is a small pool and sun lounge area and a large rooftop area where we enjoyed chilling out. Definitely recommend this hotel, the staff are a credit .. you will not be disappointed if you book to stay here, we can't fault anything.

I have visited Zest Boutique Hotel and its sister hotel The Tree House many times over the last few years and can only give highly positive comments.
They are both extremely well located in Greenpoint, near to all amenities.
The rooms are modern, comfortable and styling and the breakfast is not to be missed.
However, what really sets both hotels apart is the consistently friendly and impeccable service. I really feel to be part of the family whenever I visit!

We wanted a small hotel with good service, good reviews and in a relatively safe area. The Zest reviews stood out for us and we kept asking ourselves, 'They can't be that good can they?' They were!!
We booked months in advance and some reviews suggested using the hotel for tours. We contacted Yaseen and had a painful experience in obtaining information and called him as well. We understand that Yaseen is no longer employed by The Zest.
Moving onto all the positives.
We had Room One which overlooked the pool. The room was comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches like buds, makeup pads etc in the room.
Breakfast was an amazing display of fresh fruits, cereals, fruits, cakes etc. There was a cooked option as well but we didn't use it.
Tea and coffee was available all day and not forgetting the afternoon cake. Everything was self service but the lovely staff insisted that we were on holiday and they serve us.
My wife needed advice on having her nails done and reception recommended and booked a salon. My wife extremely pleased with the result and the price. She also used the Spa in the sister hotel for an excellent massage.
Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they always checked the Uber driver that we booked.
Like many reviewers we have been privileged to stay in top rated hotels and the service level at The Zest is equal and in some areas above.

Great little boutique hotel! Clean, modern, lots of great little extras! Lovely and helpful staff.! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again !!

We loved our 1 week stay at the Zest!
Our room, on third floor, was large, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and the breakfast area, the lounge area and the terrace were all pleasant places to relax. We loved the afternoon treats which we really appreciated after a day of touring.
All the staff are exceptional! No matter who you spoke to, they were always smiling and ready to help with anything.
The location is excellent. As everyone know, Cape Town is not a very safe place to walk but you can safely walk from the Zest to the V & A waterfront in 10-15 minutes. There is a great variety of good restaurants in easy walking distance from the hotel.
If we every return to Cape Town this is the only place I would stay! Thank you Zest Boutique!
