Pros:

The hotel is in the old city, very near to everything

Cons:

Taxi cannot go to the hotel, as it is in the old city. The breakfast is good but should be uploaded more frequently, sometimes some people had all the bread, and we had to wait quite a lot for the next round. The hotel should be refurnished, quite old and wore out.

Decent stay let down by very poor communication.
Pros:

The location was convenient and, aside from our arrival experience, most of the staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. We also appreciated being offered breakfast and coffee while we waited for our room.

Cons:

Communication was by far the biggest issue. Months before our stay, I contacted the hotel because our flight landed at 3:05am and asked about arriving around 4–5am. The hotel advised that early check-in would cost approximately 40 AZN, which we agreed to, and confirmed that our request had been noted on the booking.

When we arrived at approximately 5am, however, the room was unavailable. We completely understand that availability can change, but nobody contacted us to let us know. Had we been informed, we could have made alternative arrangements rather than arriving after an overnight journey expecting the early check-in we had discussed. We then waited for several hours and were given very little information about when a room would become available. The young man working at reception when we arrived was not particularly helpful or proactive. We eventually received a room after asking again.

There was also unnecessary confusion regarding our airport transfer. The Booking.com listing stated that a one-way airport transfer was included with our booking, but when we arrived we were initially asked to pay for it. This was eventually resolved, but it added to the overall communication problems.

Things can change, and that is understandable. The frustrating part was simply not being told. Much clearer communication before and during our arrival would have made a significant difference.

Pros:

The hotel's breakfast was delicious and offered so many options

Cons:

Since I was going to check in late, I messaged the hotel beforehand to let them know what time I would arrive. They told me the reception was open 24 hours and that it wouldn't be a problem. On check-in day, I arrived at the hotel around 5 AM, but even though I had already paid for the previous night's stay, they said they couldn't open my room and that they would send us to another hotel. We only stayed there for one night and spent the rest of our stay at the same original hotel. This is an incredibly unprofessional, despite being extremely exhausted, we had to walk to another hotel at that hour. I'd strongly recommend thinking twice before booking this hotel.

Good Stay
Pros:

The staff were incredibly nice and friendly and always happy to help!

Cons:

The facilities didn’t really match what they have claimed in the booking.com website! For example, we saw on the website that electric kettle included in our room and then we messaged and they confirmed that to us. But then they later messaged and said it is provided “upon request “. I don’t understand why to advertise facilities as included when they aren’t actually provided in the room by default?!!

Great choice for sightseeing in Baku due to the accessible location and exceptional value for money!
Pros:

Exceptional location—Old Town, the seaside park, gift shops and Nizami St all in walking distance without the hassle of traffic.
Super kind and helpful staff, diverse breakfast, and squeaky clean rooms!

Cons:

Rooms are not as clean as they look in the pictures, but acceptable nonetheless. There was no tea-maker in the room even though it was listed in the facilities

Cons:

breakfast only start on 0800am, and take away box maybe available untill 0730am.
There are mold marks left inside shower head and on the top edge of the bathtub...

Cons:

отель старый. Но ладно, что отель староват, есть куча мелких замечаний: в шкафу только одна вешалка (неужели нельзя вешалок побольше купить?), плесень в ванной на ободках (тоже странно- ободок ванной стоит копейки, почему не исправлено?), нет ершика в туалете или гиг душа, грязь в холодильнике, если встал поздно, то от завтрака осталось уже мало… конечно, это мелочи, но эти мелочи составляют комфорт проживания

Good location but very average hotel.
Pros:

The location is good. Very central. The restaurant on the rooftop has a good view with friendly staff and decent food.

The room carpet is very dirty. Looks like it’s never been cleaned. The shower water pressure is bad.

Honestly don’t waste your money
Pros:

Good location
Spacious room(junior sweet )

Cons:

No greeting from the stuff
Everything is broken (lamp, shower head,bath tab)
There was a stain on top of the toilet that never cleaned
Small spider on the bed
Bed Sheets never changed
I really wanted to get refunded and move to another hotel on the first day
I don’t really complain but it was really bad in this case maybe I was unlucky but don’t try your luck here😅

Cons:

The hotel is very bad, and their service is cold. I informed them of my arrival time, but upon arrival, they told me there was no driver and I had to wait. I waited for an hour, which makes me wonder if they intentionally made me take a taxi. The furniture is worn out, there is no kettle in the rooms, and their breakfast is simple and repetitive every day. The hotel's location is unsuitable for the elderly as it is in an elevated area inaccessible to taxis. They exploit you by charging exorbitant fares if you want to be taken anywhere by them. If they provide a service, they require you to give them excellent reviews, which is why they give excellent reviews. The only good thing is the hotel's proximity to Nizami Street. Overall, I would never stay there again. Unfortunately, they delayed my departure from the hotel until I had to call one of their taxis to catch my flight. It is regrettable that a hotel that is supposed to be a respectable place would treat people this way.
