Our first room was not cleaned and then the second one the ac took all night to cool the room
The room was affordable and available over holiday stay. It is nice that all rooms are pet friendly. Pet fee is actually $50.00/night.
Our first room, the lock was jammed. After going and getting two new keys from reception, we were assigned to a different room. Our late checkout request was approved, but not honored at La Quinta. We returned from the coffee shop at 10:45 am (normal checkout is 11, late checkout was supposed to be 12,) our key had already been turned off at 10:45. My pet was inside the room, and the lady explained we were too close to checkout time, so the keys turned off before we checked out. I showed her our email stating the late checkout request had been approved, and she told me late checkout only for hotel members. We didn't get back into our room until right after 11, reception had to use the master key to let us enter, they did not charge us for checking out late because we were locked out until after 11, but they would have charged us if we hadn't been locked out a second time, we were fully under the impression that our late checkout was approved.
The room was gross. The bathroom clearly hadn’t been cleaned there was still toothpaste in and around the sink from the previous guests. There was a nest of some sorts in the window.
The breakfast was excellent 👌 The eggs, biscuits were very good. Everything was good.
Location
Too many grass burs for pets. My room's microwave unplugged. Microwave wcists ire looked like a fire hazard. One lamp missing light bulbs. I didn't feel floors were very clean.
Good location, next to WalMart and restaurants.
Out dated building, slow slow slow elevator, short staffed, had to wait on rooms to be cleaned. No extra bedding for sofa pullout. The swimming pool was open all night and loud just below my window.
Quiet room, comfy bed.
Best part of this hotel is the location, staff training could be improved, beds sheets needed changing, and toilet need work. I could possibly give it another shot to stay there. But definitely needs improvements.
I didn't like that our windows had no curtains or shades to close. There was no privacy. Even after asking the front desk 3 times to look into it. Also bed sheets were stained and not cleaned. Toilet wouldn't not flush, I myself had to work on it.
We liked the location and enjoyed breakfast.
Our TV didn't work the entire time we were there. We stayed 2 nights and asked multiple times for someone to come fix it and they never did. When house keeping cleaned the room, they took our dirty towels but didn't restock more. Then on our last day housekeeping barged in the room because the front had it in the system that we checked out when we hadn't yet.
There was a huge stain on our bed
It was on the top cover I just took it off for the night. The carpet was damp like it had probably just been cleaned but not dry all the way.The hotel is definitely seeing some age to it.There was also tape of the curtain box DEFINITELY a sign of a previous guest which I know personally is a no no.
They are in the process of getting things updated but it’s but clean or comfortable at all
It was nice!
The elevator was horrible. Super super slow and felt like it was going to fall when it stopped.
