Fanari Khaolak Resort - Courtyard Zone

Wir waren schon 7 Jahre davor hier. Seitdem hat sich doch einiges geändert. Das Hotel ist grundsätzlich ruhig. Diesmal jedoch waren Gäste da, die keine Rücksicht auf andere nahmen. Wir mussten leider das Personal einschalten und um Rücksicht bitten. Einige Tage waren Personen im Pool die nicht zum Hotel gehörten. Das ist nicht in Ordnung. Warum dürfen fremde Personen (vermutlich Freunde oder Familie von einem Gast) ins Hotel??
Frühstück haben wir nicht gebucht, da es vor 7 Jahren schon sehr karg war. Kaffee (im Sackerl) haben wir erst nach Rückfrage bekommen. Dann auch nur mehr 2stk am Tag. Früher konnten wir uns mehr Kaffee am Tag machen.
Die Zimmer sind eher abgenutzt. Preisleistung ist hier nicht mehr gerechtfertigt. Da bekommt man was schöneres für das Geld. Die Dusche ist sehr sehr abgenutzt. Kein Platz für Utensilien wenn man zu dritt oder sogar zu viert dort ist.
Das Bett wird zwar jeden Tag gemacht , aber nach einer Woche wäre ein Tausch der Wäsche angebracht. (Wir waren 17 Tage dort...)
Die Terrassentür lässt sich sehr schwer schließen. Das Pool hatte ihre gute Zeit auch schon lange hinter sich.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht sich. Achtet jedoch nicht wirklich auf fremde Personen. Unser Zimmernachbar aus Deutschland hat ein lautes Organ und hat seine neue thailändische Familie im Hotel zu Besuch(keine zahlende Gäste!!). Nicht in Ordnung.
Für ein oder zwei Tage für durchreisende ist das Hotel nutzbar. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt eher woanders buchen

Bra städningen, väldigt trevlig personal. Bra roomservice

Lovely pools but the main pool totally surrounded by rooms. Bungalow rooms are tired. No coffee making goodies but they did bring me the bare minimum when I asked. Towels and sheets threadbare. Cheap plastic bottles of water supplied. Restaurant hit or miss. Good location I guess. Within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and the market The staff were very helpful when asked. Would I stay here again? Probably not. The whole area is overrun with package deal families from Europe and very very overpriced

Slidt hotel. Lugtede forfærdeligt på badeværelset af kloak under hele opholdet. Meget skimmelsvamp i brusekabinen.
Forfærdelig hård seng og puder. Aircon virker delvist. Pool stor og ren. Billig minibar og normal rengøring ok. Dog var der gamle møl pubber hængende i loftet, som rengøring åbenbart aldrig gad fjerne. Mange myg på hele området.

We did a 6 week stay mid Jan until mid February , and as always we had a great stay !
For the price you pay , you CANNOT go wrong with this hotel . It offers large rooms, ok they are a bit 'dated' with the Thai style dark brown mahogany furniture, but they are very clean , there is great air con , a decent shower, your towels and sheets daily without being asked and there is an amazing breakfast offerred , with THE freshest eggs you could wish for !
There are 2 pools , sunbeds , these arent particularly ' luxurious' , but , again , you are not paying luxurious prices.
Staff are wonderful in the hotel , they do whatever they can to help you , especially Bowie !
If you find the Thai style beds too firm , they happily provide a mattress topper , which transforms the beds !
Around you there are loads of bars , restaurants , shops , massage places.
It really is perfect , and AMAZING value ....

This place could be lovely unfortunately it isn’t it’s dated quite dirty & the pool is un inviting with 3 old umbrellas & old sunbeds the bungalow beds are uncomfortable springs poking out & balcony was never swept even though we asked. Breakfast was amazing in a lovely dining room across the road

Beliggende i fin afstand til marked, restauranter og barer i byen og tæt ved havet, men ligger i dejlig roligt område.

In a very short distance to the bungalows at pool side was a trainings center for Thai boxing which created an unimaginable noise which needs to wear ear protection headphones. This undisputable for a hotel which such high claim to quality and holiday resort and there is no single notice in the hotel description in internet. This are important circumstances for selection of a hotel resort to make relaxing holidays. This is a point for disqualification!!!

My family and I was at this property 5 years ago and we love it so much so we decided to comeback. However, this property was in such poor conditions, so much that we decided to move to the new resort. Very dirty, stain on the sheet, AC was not cold, no food on the property. On Expedia website about this property was listed that they have all the amenities but for surcharges which we Plato use. They don’t have food, transportation, spa or anything that is listed. The person that chua in said “we have nothing but the room for you. This is LOW SEASON” We have reservation from July 8th to July 14th. We left this property on July 10th due to all of the above listed. They used to viewing spot that you can see the water. Not any more. They closed up that part and you will have to walk about 10-15 minute the near by beach with is next to Ramada resort. I contacted Expedia customer service chat line and told them about all of this but they said no refund. This will be the last time I will use this site due to lack of transparency. They allow this hotel to give faults information and would not take any responsibility. I wish Fanari resort the best of luck and hope they make it in this industry.

We have just returned from a 37 night stay at this lovely hotel ! We were warmly welcomed back as repeat guests . Our room , was large , 2 enormous beds , a big balcony overlooking the pool , an adequate shower room , tv , fridge , great air con , free safe , wifi was pretty good, it did have a few 'slow ' moments on occasion !
Our room was very comfortable , quiet , and cleaned daily , with sheets and towels changed daily without us needing to ask for them to be so !
The hotel only offers bed and breakfast as such , the breakfasts are excellent, cereals , fresh fruits ( some days more exotic than others ! ) , juices , a variety of salads , croissants , toast , jam, honey , the usual hot stuff , an egg station , with THE freshest eggs you can imagine , bacon , sausages, some days baked beans , tomatoes , potatoes etc , plus , my FAVOURITE , a daily Thai curry , and these were , BEYOND delicious !!!!
There are 2 pools , one on the main building side , the other by the bungalows .
Personally , we prefer the main building , but the bungalows are also lovely , surrounded by lots of vegetation .
The staff here are wonderful , very friendly , and helpful . Nothing is too much trouble at all .
Surrounding the hotel is a host of bars , restaurants , massage places , and 2 beaches within walking distance.
There is a place to hire scooters right opposite the hotel . and if you so wish , self service washing machines , which was great for us being on a long stay !
The hotel has a loyal following , its very popular with German and Scandinavian guests , everyone is very friendly , and it makes for a very nice atmosphere !
A great hotel that i RECOMMEND HIGHLY !

Dejligt mindre hotel med en god beliggenhed. Tæt på havet og 10 min til restauranter, marked og liv.
Venligt og hjælpsom personale.
2 pools og altid en plads ledig ved poolen.
Lidt slidt badeværelse, men til at leve med.
Alt i alt et godt udgangspunkt for et besøg i Khao Lak.

I was pleasantly surprised with the resort given the high end choices in the area. My room was spacious and the swimming pool is fabulous. It’s not directly on the beach but close enough. I had no issues with the WiFi. I’m not a huge buffet breakfast person but it was good and the breakfast room staff was super helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

人手不足

Hotel sympa, belle piscine mais un peu profonde pour les moins de 1,60. Toutes les chambres ont vu sur la piscine. Les plages à proximité peu praticables car plus de sable mais des rochers. Les chambres sont grandes. Il y a de temps en temps des petits lézards. Le petit dej est complet. On peux commander à manger de 11h30 jusqu’à 16h30 au bord de la piscine, c’est top. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Frühstück könnte mehr Auswahl an Brot und Brötchen haben. Ansatz war an wenigen Tagen zu erkennen. Restliches Buffet war OK mit wechselnder Auswahl.

This is a lovely resort. Nice and quite not far from bars and restaurants.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area very nice clean and lots of loungers. Breakfast tasty something different offered every day. Room clean and spacious bed comfy shower nice warm water. We have enjoyed our visit here and highly recommend.

Wondeful quiet place, a little aways from khao lak, like 20km so be prepared for an 700baht taxi ride. Staff was fantastic and restaurant was great. Beautiful rooms and environment.

Wow , what a find ! Have to admit , for price we paid ,our expectations weren’t that high ! How wrong were we ! Great room , ok not the most ‘ up to date ‘ but was big , great air con , huge bed , good shower , nice balcony , fresh sheets , towels and pool towels daily , Wi-Fi was good . Breakfast , what a great choice , yoghurt , fresh fruits , cereals , pastries , fresh egg station , with beautiful fresh eggs , bacon , sausages , a curry featured every morning ( delicious ) good coffee , only slight downside , the fruit juices , more like squash and very sweet . 2 nice pools , one on the bungalow side , this has plenty of shade , should you want . A 5 min stroll to a nice beach , 2 sunbeds and umbrella , 200thb
Short walk from Fanari you have an abundance of bars , restaurants and massage places and the night market !
Staff at the hotel are lovely , very friendly , anything you ask , they try and oblige .
Value for money at its best ! Well done Fanari ! And see you next year we hope !
