Very nice overall and spacious with place to put suitcase and a desk. You could tell it was an older
Pros:

It was basic with a nice, decent variety.

Cons:

Bathroom did not have a fan and lighting wasn’t so bright by the entryway/mirror.

Putney Inn Beware before Booking!!!
Pros:

Nothing!!

Cons:

Upon arrival there was a phone number taped to the check in desk to call for a person to show up to check you in & she arrived 10 mins after calling.

The women preceded to ask for my license & CC to check in. She stated the booking in my name was showing on her computer but started arguing that the payment was not.

I preceded to call Booking and the agent spoke with her and explained as clear as day the payment was processed and issued to them. I even showed my bank receipt for the charge and she was not having it.

Mine you its 8pm I just drove 6hrs and she's telling me I have no room unless I pay for the room again which I had no other choice but to be charged again. There are no other accommodations close by & she is well aware of that.

I booked thru Booking.com and was charged for this overnight stay 2wks before arrival. I contacted booking when I got home & they issued me a full refund & also is doing a full investigation because I am not the 1st person this has happened to.
Please be weary if booking at the Putney Inn!

Solid stay all round. Friendly welcome
Pros:

Friendly and convenient

Cons:

It was exactly as described- no issues. Liked hearing the train and feeling the rumble, perhaps some wouldn’t.

Even with the internet issue I would book with them again.
Pros:

Location was good. Very quiet. The shower was clean and huge.

Cons:

Internet connection was not good, had to keep logging in. The shower although big had no safety bars also no seat as a person who has bad knees a seat would make it excellent. Not something a handicap person would be able to use unless they had their own shower chair. Also there was no counter space for your toiletries.

Overnight stay at the inn
Pros:

The place was clean and had everything you need for an overnight stay. Snacks and some breakfast were provided as well. Snow fell while we were there and it was plowed promptly and made accessible.

Cons:

There didn't seem to be much sound isolation, the guests sharing a wall with us were loud and it carried through the rooms.

Great little spot, would stay here again.
Pros:

I made the reservation last minute and got in late, as I was just soo tired to keep driving. But someone came down to meet me and give me my room key with no bad attitude.
My room was clean and warm, all I needed for a quick night's sleep.
