Breakfast was quite good and various, location excelent.
There the carpet is old and I suspect a cleaning solution is being applied that smells musty. Maids start turning on the vacuum cleaner too early.
The location was excellent! Some members of the staff were extremely helpful. Others on the staff didnt seem to want to be bothered. The ambiance was excellent! Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff excellent!
I didnt like that some of the items in my room were not functioning as advertised. Such as the heated floor and the heater in the room. We were there a week and on the last day the elevator was operating. For ppl with health issues that information is essential to know because they should have the opportunity to switch hotels if needed. Not having netflix as a universal option for visitors from everywhere is unfortunate.

Die Empfangsdame hat mir telefonisch sehr zuvorkommend bei der Erkundung zum Auffindens am Airport meines verspäteten Koffer geholfen.
We enjoyed a fantastic 4-night stay as part of our honeymoon trip to Norway. The hotel is very comfortable and well-decorated, which made it ideal for a special trip. Kind of random, but the place smelled amazing! My wife wanted to find out the fragrance so our house can smell the same!
We stayed in a superior room with good amenities including a nice shower and toilet room. The shower was part of the main bedroom which was unusual but cool - just make sure you specify when you book if you don’t want this, we talked about how awkward it might be if you were staying with a friend! The bed was really comfortable with nice mood lighting. The room also has a free safe. The channels on the TV were limited with only one in English, however this wasn’t an issue for us as we spent little time in the room and when we did, we had our iPad for watching shows before bed in case of this. It would have been good if the TV had allowed casting, so we could have put our show on the screen from the iPad, but this is more feedback for the hotel than a complaint. The only minor complaint about the room would be it was a bit too hot at night and we couldn’t adjust the thermostat or the air conditioning. We did request assistance with this but it never came, although had we asked again we’re sure it would have been seen to. We managed ourselves just by opening the window at night instead - I was slightly disturbed by noise outside, although my wife was fine.
The food offer at the hotel was brilliant. Buffet breakfast in the Teatro restaurant was unexpectedly included, and there was a variety of hot and cold food to choose from, including Norwegian waffles. All the food was delicious. We also paid for one evening meal in the restaurant, which just serves pizza and ice cream. The pizza was nice, the ice cream however was delicious - like all restaurants in Oslo it was quite pricey but it’s to be expected. 130 NOK seemed a lot for 2 scoops but they were the biggest scoops we’ve ever seen, and it tasted amazing.
The staff are a credit to the hotel, they were all very friendly and helpful, including those in the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn’t get the name of the staff member who greeted us at the hotel - she was a young, red-haired woman. She couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming, greeting us each time she saw us, asking about our day, making suggestions for places to visit and advice on how to get around.
The hotel is centrally located, with access to numerous public transport links, meaning it never takes more than about 20 mins to get somewhere across the city.
Overall, if you’re looking for a comfortable and accessible place to stay in Oslo with a touch of luxury, this is your hotel.
Wonderful hotel. Cosy, beautiful and fantastic service. Special mention to Mathilde who is so welcoming and helpful.
Beliggenheten og standarden på rommene. Utrolig gode senger!
Personnel extrêmement aimable et apportant de l’aide à nos questions
Très belle salle de bain mais peu fonctionnelle: douche qui déborde, pas de place pour poser les trousses de toilette (petit inconvénient pas très important!)
Location,food,cleanliness,staff.
The curtains in the room did not meet at the top and were not blackout so woke early when I didn’t need to
Great breakfast buffet! Quality items
The elevator is from a different century - but it’s ok, we walked down from the 5th floor - good exercise

Great location, unique interior and history including the theatre bar
My one night stay at the Hotel Christiania Teater was superb. This is a family run hotel and they make you feel like part of the family. The hotel is charming and quirky and a little bit like falling down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. The room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional with a dizzying array of options enjoyed in a lovely setting. The hotel is well situated and within easy walking distance of major attractions, museums, and shopping. It is also an easy 10-15 minute walk to the central train station with easy transport links to the airport. Highly recommend!
Central location, quirky design.
Rooms were quite small. First day at breakfast crazy busy and couldn’t get a table. Staff were hot and miss- some lovely and provided great service, but others were unhelpful or made you feel an inconvenience to them.
Great location, lovely rooms and excellent service.
