Fantastic Parkside Location, Comfy Rooms, and Great Cycle Storage!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Parklands Hotel in Perth. It is perfectly situated just a three-minute walk from the train station, five minutes from the bus station, and an easy ten-minute stroll into the center of Perth. The hotel is located right next to a large park, which our room overlooked, providing a lovely and peaceful view. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the hotel felt very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room featured a super comfortable and exceptionally large bed, along with highly appreciated tea and coffee-making facilities. The bathroom was lovely and spacious, boasting a large walk-in shower and fitted furniture that gave us plenty of worktop space for our toiletries. Additionally, because we were on a cycling trip, we were thrilled that the hotel allowed us to leave our cycles safely in a secure room just off the restaurant.

Cons:

We honestly didn't find anything to dislike about the accommodation itself, though we chose not to eat at the hotel, opting instead to have both our evening meal and breakfast out in the center of Perth.

Convenient and short easy walk to train and bus stations with a nice garden area in the front for sitting and relaxing.
Pros:

Very close to the train station made it convenient and short easy walk from the station. Liked the garden area in front with tables for sitting and relaxing with a beverage. Park just beyond the garden provided an open space out of the city feel. Easy walk to restaurants and shops in Perth. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

Sound of people walking around in room above was loud and regular talking and movement loud from people in hallway and neighboring room. Seemed expensive for a basic room with small desk area.

Comfortable and ideally located for Perth.
Pros:

The staff were both welcoming and professional. We took our evening meal in the restaurant and were impressed by both the selections available, and the quality of the food. Drinks were a reasonable price, and the garden was the ideal place to sit with a cold beer and chill out. Location wise the hotel sits right next to a large park, is close to the river, and close to the town center, making it a great location overall.

OK for one night in Perth, which is an interesting and pleasant small town.
Pros:

Parklands is quite near the train station, and a 10 minute walk from the town centre. As we entered, we thought it felt more like an upmarket boarding house that a 'boutique hotel' The welcome we received was offhand, and the entrance hall seemed domestic. However, our first floor room (one of the best) was spacious, and the en-suite shower room, despite being down a few stairs from the bedroom, was generous. We decided to miss the dining room and the breakfast as they seemed expensive. Nice garden, and plenty of car parking spaces. They were happy to look after our bags after we checked out.

Cons:

A warm smiling welcome would have raised out expectations. There is no lift, and the entrance area was more like a house than a hotel.

Leuke ogend hotel, waar wij wel meer van hadden verwacht mbt persoonlijke aandacht
Pros:

gratis parkeren, ontbijt was heel goed verzorgd

Cons:

A welcoming atmosphere at the end of a long journey, very convenient for rail travellers like us.
Pros:

We liked the manager - he waited up for us when we were unavoidably delayed and remained cheerful ! We also liked the room, the bathroom and the breakfast. Oh yes - and the gardens with their many birds. We didn't have much time to enjoy the whole experience but what we saw and did was just great.

Cons:

I would have loved a few pictures on the walls of the room - well-chosen art can really turn a good hotel into a great hotel ! There was nothing about the hotel that I actually didn't like !
