Gorgeous rooms. Wonderful food.
All the staff were friendly, very helpful and eager to please.
The bar stocked real ale !
situation was good. The room was big , but only 1 chair ?
The hotel was not very warm and facilities not great. Value for money at nearly £200 a night poor
Excellent breakfast and I felt very well looked after. Loved the view from my room and its quiet location at the end of a corridor. Slept very well.
I would have liked some body lotion as part of the toiletries provided.
Great breakfast with THE best smoked salmon, nice room and staff was lovely. Dog got sausage in the morning and in general the hotel was good
The shower wasn’t very warm
good
Very welcoming and helpful staff. Great service in the bar and restaurant.
Comfortable beds.
Excellent 2 night dbb offer stay for a silver wedding treat, great welcome, lovely sea view room with a bottle of cava on ice, the food was excellent but the highlight for us was the staff, the best check in experience ever, friendly helpful staff in the bar and restaurant and the cheerful friendly breakfast lady, just a perfect break,
Thank you
great location handy for the railway station and walk into town and beach
some of the paint work could have been repainted and windows flap on extractor fan rattled all night
I stayed at Nether Abbey Hotel for a couple of days from 7/11/25. The hotel is in a very pleasant part of NB within 10 minutes of town centre. I was warmly welcomed by mine host, Marius (hope spelling right). My room, the breakfast and dining/bar area were all splendid. The food was excellent. The main purpose of my stay was to visit the East Fortune air museum and my visit there was brilliant especially as it included one of the original Concordes. It's about 15 minutes drive from the hotel. All staff were most friendly and helpful. I planned to watch the Rugby match between New Zealand & Scotland on 8/11/25. Marius suggested I watch it in the large bar/dining area of the hotel. I did so and enjoyed the game on the big screen with many others. Sadly NZ beat us! A thoroughly enjoyable couple of days. I will return.
Location is great. Short 5 min walk to the station and 35mins on train to Edinburgh or less than 10 min walk to the fantastic beach. Left the car in the hotel car park all weekend. Room warm and comfortable with tea, coffee, hot chocolate (rare!) and biscuits. Staff very friendly and eager to please. Bar was welcome after a long day out and about with sport shown on the TV. Would definitely stay again. North Berwick is a lovely town to walk about with a harbour, history, independent shops and plenty of places to stop for a meal or a drink.
If we are being very critical, instead of new individual shampoo/shower gel bottles in the bathroom, there were large bottles which had been refilled so many times that the labels had rubbed off. Also, there was a good choice for breakfast (which had to be ordered the day before with you stating the time you would be down) but the porridge was lukewarm both mornings and some items of the cooked breakfast were either overcooked or not hot enough.
good choice and pleasant room.
very good and friendly staff
