The Hotel Julen Tradition: Has comfortable, very clean rooms; Is centrally located near the old part of Zermatt, with easy walking access to the village and bus transport to lifts, especially Matterhorn Ski Paradise lift; The breakfast is excellent as is the dinner menu; The staff is courteous and knowledgeable .

I'm so glad we stayed at the Hotel Julen for my special birthday ski trip! Zermatt has always been on my bucket list and the Hotel Julen really delivered a wonderful experience. They even brought a beautiful chocolate cake to our room for my birthday which was such a nice surprise! The rooms were spotless, comfortable and perfectly located. We loved the pine paneling and the cozy cabin vibe of the interior design. Our rooms had plenty of storage and all of the modern amenities.
We really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and could order pancakes or other items with no trouble. The staff were always courteous and made us feel right at home.
The central location is perfect. The bus stop is just a short walk away and Fuchs bakery is next door as well as the popular Papperla bar. Everything is very close and easy to walk to. We really felt like it was the perfect spot for us to enjoy the beautiful surrounding area.
The ski locker room was very handy and had an automatic door which led right out to the street level. The lockers themselves had boot heaters which made putting on those boots in the morning that much easier. We will definitely be back!

This is such a perfect place to stay. Our Matterhorn view room was beautiful, warm, luxurious, and the housekeeping wonderful.
Location great - short walk to free shuttle bus to all areas of the mountain.
The Hotel has one of the best pools and spa areas we have seen. It was perfect to end every days skiing with a visit to this area.
We took half board and so glad we did. The breakfast buffet was extensive and the dinners were absolutely delicious with many choices.
We cannot thank the staff enough for making us so welcome. Particular thanks to Bruno, Vera and the breakfast team, Duc, and to the fabulous Marco and Marion at dinner.

L'emplacement bien situé à Zermatt. Les 2 restaurants, traditionnel (bravo pour la raclette conçue dans le Valais). Confort des chambres et de la literie. L'ambiance conviviale. L'anniversaire surprise !!!
Surtout l'accueil et l'accompagnement d'Alizée. Merci de la féliciter de notre part. Le prêt de l'ordi par le gérant pour visionner une vidéo personnelle.

Very comfortable room and bed, with amazing views. Ski locker area was well-equipped, with coffee and waters. Cozy reception area with fireplace. Spa was really refurbished and super relaxing. We loved the polar plunge option! Location was just perfect - super close to the main town, yet a little away from the very center. Also make sure to try their restaurant - Schaferstube - it is our favorite restaurant in Zermatt town!
As expected from an older hotel, the rooms vary with the category. We were initially given a corner room, which felt boxy and smaller than expected. I therefore asked to change and reception immediately fulfilled my request. Breakfast was standard and coffee wasnt great.
