Historic nod to times past
Pros:

Large, warm but very old-fashioned room up the stairs in historic building. Tiny en-suite. Town centre location with several restaurants and cafes nearby (see below). Interesting historic art objects scattered throughout. Complimentary Port before retiring a nice touch.

Cons:

Hotel did not have functional restaurant or bar (on Mondays) or staff after 6pm. Basically it had seen better days.

Cosy, warm, inviting and completing over whelmed by how generous the room was and staff so lovely
Pros:

Very comfortable room and great check in experience. The chairs in the room you could actually sit on and read a book they were that great. Beautiful decor, great bathroom, very cosy and felt very special

Everything was perfect and we could not fault one thing

Pros:

The bed was so comfy and large and the room was huge and had beautiful decor!

Cons:

The bathroom was very dated and the fan didnt work. The shower/bath situation just doesnt work for the space it was almost impossible not to get water on the floor. The noise from the bar downstairs kept me up at night so maybe some soundproofing would be good!
