Hotel Colonna

An unhappy experience. When we arrived at our hotel we were told it was closed due to a "technical problem" and that we were booked in a different hotel. While the other hotel was very well situated, it was tired looking, no wi-fi in the rooms, and we had the worst room in the hotel, looking out on a service courtyard instead of a sea view.

Heating rails in the bathroom did not work.

No window or extractor fan in the bathroom either.

The stay was good with comfortable room with basic amenities. Though the rooms are small but comfortable. The staff were cheerful and helpful.
They guided us regarding our visit.
The spread for breakfast is awesome. However some services such as lift needs to be looked as it was non functional during our stay.
The location of hotel is near the central train station and the bus stop is just opposite the hotel where busfor airport is available at regular interval.

Hotel Colonna has been my hotel of choice for nearly five years and the standard has been good - good breakfast, good staff with good client orientation and a strong WiFi connectivity. I want to suggest that HC starts thinking about carrying out some renovations to make the place competitive. Those rugs have seen better days and I think, rugs are no longer in vogue. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel has a great location with walking distance from the railway station and in the middle of the city centre. I did not have time to investigate the neighbourhood since I was taking the ferry in the morning to Greece. The ferry terminal was about 5-10 min with taxi from the hotel.
The room was equipped with what I needed and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean and I had a great shower. It was very worthy the price.

Great friendly staff. Excellent central location between railway and bus stations and the harbour. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Hotel and bedroom very clean. Outstanding value for money.

The hotel is centrally located and traditional but in a good shape with all modern amenities you'd need. Hotel staff is very friendly and professional, they even offered me a free upgrade to a double room, of course, it was during low season... WiFi is stable and fine, breakfast is ok for an Italian breakfast but they use too many plastic cups... I'd definitely return in case there is no cheaper option in a B&B!

The location is great, and while it's an older hotel my room was spotless and everything worked. Older hotels often have smaller rooms, so take that into account, but I was traveling alone, so it was fine. The breakfast is on the roof, and the roof terrace was just wonderful. Staff was very accommodating of traveling by bicycle.

hôtel sans prétention mais pratique car a 10mn de l’aéroport de brindisi
pour une nuit cela été .
je n'y ferais pas un séjour plus long
parking dans la rue payant aux heures d'ouverture des magasins !!!!!!

Stout ok

Not by any stretch of imagination a 4* hotel barely 2 * very small rooms badly laid out, stains on wall, carpet etc. breakfast on 7th floor shabby roof top, lift not working, cycles in stair well (H&S problem)TV has only Italian programs, but cheap a back packers hostel! needs a total refurb. don't know how others could say this is a good hotel!
PS some rooms are not ensuite enjoy.

I had a one night stop over here on arriving from the airport. Very good value, quiet, lean, no complaints. Eating places nearby.

Ascensor fuera de servicio por rotura para desayunar fue complicado

La chambre: peinture à refaire car pleins de traces sur les murs et traces d’humidité au plafond (y compris dans les couloirs et à la réception !).

Pas d’eclairage dans l’escalier que nous avons dû prendre jusqu au 5eme étage pendant les 5 jours de notre séjour car PAS D’ASCENSSEUR. En effet, l’ascensseur Qui était déjà en panne à notre arrivée n’a pas été réparé durant notre séjour (5 jours). Inconvénient très important vu le problème de mobilité de la personne avec moi.

Seul point positif la situation, pour le reste on évite de venir dépenser de l'argent dans cet établissement.
C'est vieux , moche et sale ... Vétusté de l'ensemble du bâtiment , la clim émet des couinements insupportable , les oreillers sont inexistants et il y a même des tâches d'humidité sur les abat-jours de la chambre. Les murs sont sales on évite de toucher les rideaux car ils sont gris de crasse et tout est extrêmement mal insonorisé.
Si cet hôtel a 4 étoiles c'est certainement quand les travaux il y a 30 ans ont été finis , maintenant en 2019 c'est maxi 1 étoile .

Nice hotel near the central train station and also the sea, old town and shopping areas. The breakfast was adequate and the staff very kind. Only the shower is quite small. Bedding is excellent. Fully recommended

The hotel provides a nice breakfast on the 7th floor, the staff were friendly, I had to change rooms because my air conditioner was not working, the hotel was clean. The mattress is EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE, the bed was very nice. The mattress is a simmons & the sister company is SERTA. I was traveling solo. I took the pictures in my hotel room

Really comfortable, pleasant and great value hotel for our overnight stay in Brindisi. Just 5 minutes walk from the waterfront, on the Main Street and we found parking nearby. Staff were all very helpful. Good breakfast on roof terrace

The hotel is good. The room is spacious enough and is quit luxery. The breakast is for Italian standards very good.You walk easely to the railway station and to the boulevard.it has a nice surrounding area.
