Did a return trip on Bernina Express. Hotel walkable from station. Receptionist cou ok don’t have been more helpful and friendly wonderful
This hotel is a literal construction zone. It is loud, smells like cement/drywall, and is under a full renovation - which isn’t mentioned ANYWHERE when booking. Shady business practice.
Very Nice hotel, pizza at the restaurant was amazing and lovely receptionist was great at helping us throughout our stay.
We walked in through the side entrance (not the hotel entrance) and we were taken aback by it.
The worst at all
Our experience was tainted for 2 significant reasons:
1. There is no overnight staff, and they close the lobby. As I was jet lagged and up at 3am, the only space I could be in without disturbing my family was in a chair outside the elevator.
2. There was a massively loud party that started at 11pm one of the nights. As it woke all of us up, I called the front desk (who hadn’t closed up yet). They told me that it was from a private residence, and they had no control over it. However I Googled it there were noise ordinances in St Moritz, and the search said there were. I was expecting the front desk to call the police, but instead we had to endure thumping bass for 3 hours.
While the bed was comfortable, for some reason this place had uncomfortable sheets (not cotton) so you constantly were getting hot in bed and couldnt sleep. A simple thing like linen to spoil the trip. The room was also run down, the skirting board was falling apart.
Location was good. The breakfast that was included was excellent. The hotel can work on making the entrance to the hotel more visible. At looks as though you are going to the restaurant Riccardo's and not hotel piz as the name of the restaurant is more prominent. Otherwise you can bypass the hotel not realizing that the restaurant is also the entrance for the hotel.
This property IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. PLEASE READ. Our room was a double room. Our balconies were completely obstructed by scaffolding and construction wrap. Workers started making noise at 7:00 am. Smoking and talking outside the balcony. One worker tried to open the door and said they were sorry didn’t know we were in the room. The door handle was broke to our room. Our children’s shade would not close to the balcony. All they had were curtains. When we mentioned our concerns all they said was sorry and that they would tell the manager. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Relaxing
Everything about this property was fine.
Quite far from the train station and the centre of the village but easy access to transit.
Tiny rooms. Attached pizza restaurant Riccado is great. Breakfast is not so good.
The car park is not connected to the hotel, and we had to carry all the suitcases. The service is average. They charge for parking and extra city tax.

room walls and bathroom kind of dirty but bedding and towels are clean
Show door is not properly sealed and water leaked out and flood the room. The hotel is aware of the issue but did not tell us and does not offer solution. Similarly, the button of toilet fall inside of the wall. Again the hotel is aware of it but does not tell us up front. Better communication and better maintenance of the property is necessary.
Very nice hotel and our large room was great. We wish we could spend more time there. Breakfast was near and cozy.
