no food available , I thought for airport hotel they would have something
Start with the positive. The rooms are clean and nice. The location is very close to the airport, but the walk with a suitcase is very challenging. Two sets of stairs and a steep grade. That was our fault. We’ve stayed twice and the lady front desk staff always seemed annoyed. It would be great if they considered making some extra cash with luggage storage for customers, just a suggestion.
An overpriced dump with a nice view! It’s old & very run down, staff are not friendly at all. AC hardly worked. The taxi driver that reception called for us charged an “elevation & luggage” surcharge - reception said it would be $25usd - it was $23 before we even got back on the main road - the driver was the problem here - hotel receptionist ( driver called her when we protested the surcharges) argued with her regarding these ridiculous charges but then told us over speaker ph that we just have to pay!
It’s lucky that Tahiti has natural beauty cos there ain’t much else going for it - overpriced & third world!
Basic good hotel for one night near the airport. Check in staff very friendly. Rooms have a bed, air conditioning, fridge, table, tv, shower and towels. Amenities - kettle tea/coffee, paper cups, glasses.
Very local to airport however no shuttle, as not allowed, at present in Tahiti. Taxi's moan if taking you from airport to hotel probably because it is close to airport and difficult for them to turn around into and out of the hotel. You can walk however to get to the hotel it is up a hill if you have luggage. You can walk down to the airport. No path down the hill but most cars are aware of people walking. There is a path from the bottom of the hill but when you cross the road there are steps down to the airport. Many people walking up and down steps.
One issue with hotel is very noisy with local dogs and with people checking in and out all night as many arrivals and departures are in the middle of the night.
Cant comment on breakfast as we had an early departure.
If you want a basic hotel it is clean and fine for the night. Do ensure you have ear plugs if a light sleeper.
Close to the airport, don’t recommend walking though.
There was no pool. The hotel is terraced, with a hill to bring luggage down or up. No washcloths provided. Property is very outdated.
Very steep hill to access lobby and don't get the breakfast
We chose Tahiti Airport Motel as it is at airport. We needed a cab to get us to property as we had a late flight and were tired-$15. Cab back was$20?. Our room was sparse and had no blankets. That was a problem as it was quite cold with AC. Breakfast offering was$9 and consisted of a croissant and coffees. Poor quality. Not recommended.
A one-night stay before an early flight was quiet and comfortable. You’re paying more for the convenience of staying a 10 minute walk to the airport (downhill).
The room was clean with nice linens.
My only complaint is the room door has just one lock, though the door and lock seemed solid. I was on the 3rd floor and a door to outside was right by my room, unlocked and it seemed like anyone could walk into the hotel at anytime - day or night.
Despite close proximity to airport, virtually inaccessible walking, because many steps, cross roads, very steep hill, circuitous route and no signage or lighting. If not for helpful bystander we would not have found it. Rooms dreadful with hard beds and pillows, small and dingy. Also very pricy for terrible room.
The room was nice and clean. It has a great view of the airport with the sea. Spacious for the 4 of us.
Very convenient and close to the airport. Comfortable and clean. Friendly staff. Would stay there again.
My room smelt damp and I soon found out why. When it started raining overnight I was woken up by water dripping through the ceiling onto my bed. I called reception and all they offered me was a change of room. As I was leaving in 2 hours it wasn't worth it. Terrible experience.
Good for flights
Great room. Location is less desirable. Take a taxi there, do not walk.
Difficult to get to without a taxi.
Friendly staff, convenient location across the airport, clean and comfortable
OK for layover
Close to airport
