Pros:

Amritara Beach Symphony is a little paradise. I loved my bungalow and enjoyed being close to the public beach where local families turn out to watch the sunset and fishermen haul in their catch in the morning. The pool is gorgeous, surrounded by lush greenery. The staff was attentive and helpful and arranged an amazing sunrise backwater boat tour. It felt like home-- would definitely stay again! Expedia needs to remove some of the older reviews for this spot as they don't reflect current reality.

Juwel hinterm Blechzaun.
Pros:

Vorab: wir hatten wirklich tolle 5 Tage bei absolutem Top-Service in einem geschmackvollem geräumigen Keralabungalow. Wir hatten einen Beachbungalow gebucht, um durch die Palmen von unserer Terrasse in Richtung Strand zu schauen. Das war leider nicht möglich, da ein Blechzaun die Sicht auf den Strand verhindert. Hinter dem Zaun beginnt nach 50 Metern die Rückseite eine Kette von kleinen Geschäften und Imbissen für die Locals. So sieht es dort leider auch aus - es liegt sehr viel Müll herum, der Strand ist von Einheimischen und Fischern gut besucht. Das Treiben hat durchaus seinen Reiz, morgens um 7:00 gibt es eine kleine Fischauktion. Geht man 200 Meter weiter nach links oder rechts, kann man kilometerweit am schönen Naturstrand spazieren gehen und der Müll wird deutlich weniger. Am Strand beim Hotel gibt es Sonnenschirme mit Plastikstülen oder einfache Liegen zu buchen. Auf der großen Terrasse der Bungalows sind bequeme Liegen und Stühle, Blick auf den Zaun und einigen schönen Pflanzen oder bei den anderen Bungalows, Blick auf die Nachbarbungalows. Zwei mal täglich kommt der Koch, um Wünsche zum Lunch und Dinner entgegenzunehmen- das wird dann frisch eingekauft und abends auf der privaten Terrasse serviert- immer absolut lecker. Es gibt noch einen kleinen Garten mit einem grossen Pool und bequemen Liegen.

Fazit: Wer ein Hotel in beschaulicher Beachlage sucht , ist hier falsch. Wer gehobenen Service in einer privaten Gartenatmosphäre wünscht, wird hier fündig.

El restaurante es buffet con lo cual te obliga a gastarte diariamente una pasta porque no puedes ir a otro sitio porque no hay nada. El personal es interesado si se huelen propina sino te miran por encima del hombro. Esta lleno de turistas indios de clase media alta. El buffet te cuesta 1800 rupias dos personas unos 25 euros que para la India es carisimo

Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.
Pros:

Staying at Marari Beach Resort was an absolute pleasure. From the moment that we were greeted at reception I knew we had made the right decision to stay there! Even when we had to check out at 5am they prepared a takeaway breakfast for us as we couldn't make it to the buffet! The yoga teacher was extremely amiable and you can have a good chat and a laugh with any of the staff members, they are always smiling! The downfalls were that we couldnt swim at the beach due to it being too dangerous, also the food is considerably more expensive than the rest of India. However it is worth it for the beautiful surroundings and staff!
