Estalagem de Monsaraz

The pool deck has an amazing view where we watched sunset. The pool was refreshing! Breakfast was adequate and the hotel had a lot of character. Bigger tables in the lounge so that supplied games could be played comfortably would be nice.

Väggisolering mellan rummen är nästan obefintlig. Får man en högljudd granne blir svårt att sova på natten.

this placc is amazing. An amazing hotel that was resurrected and refurbished with lots of original tile work, very comfortable rooms, great pool and honor bar, classic medieval tight parking and streets. Well situated to jump of and explore this extraordinary town full of kind and interesting people and sights. Great breakfast made by our sweet Filipina hostess. Super helpful front man (sorry to have forgotten his name) gave us a lovely tour and orientation. Wish we had stayed at least 3 nights in Estramoz.

We enjoyed our night in Monsaraz. The views are beautiful and the village small and easy to wander. The accommodation style ties in well with the rest of the village. The staff were friendly and helpul and breakfast was simple but lovely and fresh. The pool was very inviting but we ran out of time to swim. Unfortunately we didnt get in anywhere for dinner as all restaurants were fully booked (not many restaurants were open). In saying that we werent hungry but there was nowhere to go and order a drink either. Would have been nice to sit and enjoy the view with a wine. There are a few shops to visit which we enjoyed, bought some goodies from the deli including black pork salami and a bottle of wine from the lady across the road. The staff at these shops were beautiful, generous and helpful.

Excellent stay, great location and lovely people. Beautiful old style building. Only disappointment was breakfast which was quite ordinary.

A localização do hotel é excelente. O café da manhã é bom. O quarto e banheiro têm bom tamanho. Alguns banheiros tem banheira e outros tem box. A piscina é excelente com uma vista maravilhosa para o pôr do Sol. Minha única ressalva é sobre a acessibilidade. Há muitas escadas para acessar os quartos. Para pessoas idosas como foi o nosso caso houve muita dificuldade para transportar as malas. Não possui restaurante para almoço e jantar. Há um mini bar que funciona até as 20h e serve apenas lanches.

A Estalagem fica muito bem situada e próxima a cidade murada. O serviço e simples, mas para uma noite e razoável. Eu fiquei num quarto que o acesso por escadas de pedra, vários níveis, e ao chegar a noite, por volta da 23h, as luzes da escada estavam apagadas. Tive que acender a luz do meu celular para conseguir descer. Eles alegam que a piscina e sazonal e por isso não estava em condições.

Peaceful

Who wouldn't want to stay in a cottage at the foot of a castle? This was an AMAZINGLY beautiful hotel on the side of a steep hilltop, right beside a medieval castle. IT was so peaceful and serene! the view out over the valley was breathtaking. It felt like we were at a retreat, in all the best ways.

Our room was simple but well equiped, clean and full of character. The electrical connections and wifi met the needs without being intrusive to the character of the room.

Breakfast was simple but completely adequate - and it fit in with the character of the property.

There was nothing at all that needed to be changed for this property. We would LOVE to go back again and highly recommend it.

This hotel was gorgeous and comfortable. Very clean and nice location that you can drive right up to with great parking.

The free breakfast was decent.

Issue with the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night while we were there, but pretty sure that was a one-off issue.

Magical property in a magical town! Highly recommend it! Beware travelers with large luggage- steep stairs, so consider packing light.

Não gostei dos quartos. Desconfortaveis. O piso de pedra não ajuda. O Hotel também não parece muito confortavel. Só o atendimento que é excelente a sra Carolina é hiper prestativa e muito simpática. Foi o ponto alto da estadia.
A internet na chegada não funcionava, mas depois operou bem.

This was a very beautiful place to stay, the gardens and view around the place was wonderful more oof bed and breakfast feel than a hotel feel
