The room was spacious and laid out really well. The air conditioning worked great and we slept well. Lots of amenities and the doors were nice and solid so we couldn’t hear neighbors
The hotel staff handled this well from a customer service standpoint but there is still an issue with the cleaning staff that I can’t ignore.
When I pulled back my sheets on the bed for the very first time, there was a long hair and the sheets were wrinkled. The sheets and bed were obviously used and no one had changed them from the last person. I went to the front desk and explained and he brought me out a clean set. Then when I took off the dirty sheets (I had to do all of this after 10pm after getting dressed again) and when I took off the fitted sheet, there was a dead bee on the mattress cover. That was really unpleasant to see.
When we checked out, they were good enough with customer service to give us a discount which we appreciated. We liked the hotel. I’m not sure if I’ll be back though because of the low standard of housekeeping that I experienced.

Breakfast menu varies, however, the two cooks always prepare a hot meal with scramble eggs, sausages, green chili, waffles, sautéed potatoes and more surprises. Five star menu.

Breakfast needed something more appetizing than powdered eggs and paper-thin bacon. But then, I know it is a free breakfast afterall.
Helpful front desk staff, provided a room change when the assigned room was dirty and offered free bottled water and tea as compensation.
Dirty rooms with feathers (?), dust and crumbs all over floor and behind bed. Bed sheets with several hairs of different lenghts and colours inside. Thin windows letting in all the noise from the highway including several police sirens every night. Also, the walls were very thin and we kept hearing a phone ringing in another room NON STOP throughout the day and night (not sure why it kept calling and why there was no response)… Overall very bad value for money - a run down and poorly managed property, expected better from a Hyatt place especially one pricing itself at over 350 USD a night.

Staff, clean common areas, breakfast
The bed was extremely bad, to the point that we could not sleep.
My wife and I have come to SF twice every year, for a week, for the last 12 years.
We were fortunate to find this little Hyatt Place gem, and meet Carmen. She was genuinely warm and cheery and we look for her every time we return. She always remembers us and makes us feel like family. The staff here are always great!
The rooms are clean and quiet and we feel safe here. The breakfast changes every day, but always has a good variety of hot and cold food, and it's free! The location is about 10 mins to the Railyard district and 12 mins to the main square. Plenty of great art, restaurants, shopping, and attractions in all directions from this hotel.
It's comfortable and feels like home every time we return.

The Hyatt Place is located in a strip mall outside the city centre where you are close to lots of stores, supermarkets, other hotels, and restaurants. The drive downtown takes approximately 12 minutes. The hotel is as described and pictured on Booking.com, so you will not have any negative surprises: the rooms are very convenient and spacious, offering both space to work and relax. The pool are is also very nice and provided a good opportunity to relax. My family also used the gym which was not particularly big, but good enough for our needs. Overall, the hotel is a convenient choice for families and travellers in general who do not need to be downtown.
Breakfast is slightly better than what you encounter on average, but the seating area is quickly crowded and several tables are located in the lobby. This does not make for a relaxed start to the day. There is some seating space outside, but due to wildfires nearby it could not be used.

While my stay at this hotel was OK, the following experience has led to my very poor review. I started calling the day after I left to report and look for a jacket and slacks that I had left in a drawer. A month later, my items have not been "found." I feel there is a culture of staff being allowed to take guests' left clothing in this hotel, so I do NOT recommend it.
