Would've loved if the location had a designated parking area instead of Valet. The valet was very prompt and kind though.
the parking cost. it was not revealed or if it was I missed it. the cost was too much for the cost of the room. it needs to be included in the cost of the room and if you don't have a car, deduct from the room cost. but in Tulsa the vast majority of people have a car.
Pulling up to the hotel, the facade was impressive - old, restored building in the heart of downtown Tulsa. Our first indication something was not quite right...there was no valet at the valet sign. We stood for a bit; no one ever showed up. So we locked our car and headed in, loaded down with luggage, to find the entrance. I say find the entrance because it isn't entirely clear which door IS the entrance. This becomes clearer once you step inside the entrance to a hallway with a few closed businesses and search for the elevator that takes you to the second floor where the lobby is actually located. Once there, the couple ahead of us was in the same predicament. Our cars are parked out front with no valet. The woman working check-in was delightful and helpful. She located the valet who simply jotted down our names and phone numbers on scraps of paper and took off with our keys. Since we had checked-in thru the app, and there was a couple ahead of us, we went on up to our rooms with our luggage...still hauling it all because no luggage carts were to be seen.
The room was lovely - very large sitting and work area (which we booked intentionally as I needed it for the day), large separate bedroom with king bed, large bathroom with large shower. First order of business - find the heat as it was freezing in the room (it was in the 30s outside). Second order of business - find the closet to hang our hanging clothes. Oops...no closet, only a wardrobe which looked large enough, until you tried to hang clothes. We did not have a lot - two jackets and two shirts, but we had to toss the hotel's hangars on the bottom of the wardrobe in order to have room to hang our items. Back to the heater as it appears to have gone off when we ran the temperature up. Sure enough - run the temp down, it comes on. Run the temp up, it goes off. Press the "Mode" button...nothing happens. Appears the A/C is on, not the heat. So we decide to head back down to the lovely lady in the lobby to report the problem. We are assured an engineer will take a look at it; however, an hour later when we head out to dinner, we haven't seen anyone.
Back to the room after dinner...it's still awfully chilly in the room, but MAYBE it's warming up. What is NOT warming up...the water. NO. HOT. WATER. Husband makes a call down to reception to report this problem AND the heater again. We are told they THOUGHT they had repaired the hot water which had not been working on the third or fourth floors, and their engineer had left for the night. They could move us or we could give it overnight to see if the water just has to warm up after being off. Fast forward to morning. STILL. NO. HOT. WATER. None. What the heck...quick cold shower and the day has started.
My husband had a business meeting next door, so I sat myself down at the work area...which was GREAT - large, plenty of outlets, etc...except the lights overhead were burned out. Yep. No lights over the work area, just a small lamp on the desk. Speaking of lights, there was very little light in the entire room.
All of that said, had everything worked correctly, the room is really, really nice. Very roomy. The bed was comfortable. The work area was perfect. The bathroom was large and nice. The staff was very friendly.
Oh, our car was ready when we called for it, and the valet was prompt. The morning person at reception was friendly when we stopped by to tell her they might want to check the hot water, heater and lights in room 405. :)
Take away - staff was wonderful; hotel had issues
Having to get a code to use the bathrooms!
Paying for coffee in lobby.
Close location to our event, historic building.
We were woken up at 8:40 am by the cleaning staff knocking on the door beside us. I am talking loud knocking consistently for a long time. I had enough time to wake up, wonder what was going on, and go to the door- they were still knocking loudly. I opened the door cause I thought it was our door and the lady said, “what?” Then, they were yelling loudly back and forth all the way down the hall. I asked upon check out if they always do that as it was still early. Hotels are expensive and I felt this was rude to do that early. I told the front desk when checking out. She stated that because there was a large event in town they had to get started early. I understand that, but it just made us want to pack up and leave and not come back to this hotel.
The older historic building equipped with all the modern luxuries. Great location.

Great staff! AC could have been colder, but not the staff’s fault.
