Rolig overnatting med utsikt
Pros:

Utsikt, beliggenhet, hyggelig personnel, rent og rolig

Cons:

Prisen var litt høy, men var ett av de billigste hotellene denne helgen. Var nok mye som skjedde i Ålesund denne helgen da man finner langt lavere priser i helgene både før og etter.

Stay was fine, but WiFi and microwave need attention
Pros:

Good location, friendly staff

Cons:

The WiFi was very inconvenient, it required re-logging in with username and password literally every 10 minutes. The microwave door metal net seems to be damaged. I’m no expert, but it looked like something that could potentially cause a radiation leak, so it might need attention

Pros:

A very unusual configuration for a hotel with a grocery store and the rooms with somewhat dated furniture
The staff are amazing and their efforts make those inconveniences less of an impact
Had to leave very early on the last day, hotel was all locked up antic couldn’t get out. Finally walked down a dark passage and left via an emergency exit. This could be posted or explained better

Pros:

Gute Busanbindung in die Innenstadt (Haltestelle auf der Strecke) und zum Flughafen, sobald man die näheren Umstände kennt (s a. unten).

Im Hotelbereichbefindet sich ein gut sortierter Supermarkt.

Cons:

Aus dem Hotelpersonal war per Email trotz Vorlauf nur mit Mühe und mehreren Anläufen herauszuholen, wie die Busverbindung zum Flughafen funktioniert. Die Auskunft erschöpfte sich dann auch in Allgemeinplätzen und kam reichlich spät.
Klarheit brachte schließlich die Nachfrage bei einem der Busfahrer der Busgesellschaft VY am Flughafen, die von dort aus verschiedene Linien und u.a. auch den Flughafentransfer (Linie 65) bedient. Dabei wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass der Flughafenbus für die Anfahrt der Hotelhaltestelle ("Ytterland, stop place in Giske ...") zum Flughafen im Internet (www.vy.no) gebucht werden muss. Er fährt den Halt sonst nicht an.

Die diensthabende Empfangsdame des Hotels fiel durch mürrisches Benehmen auf.

Professionelle Dienstleistung zeigt sich anders.

Die vorliegenden Hotelfotos zeigen die Zimmer im ausgelagerten Teil der Anlage (Minihotell) nicht. Diese entsprechen bei Weitem nicht dem, was auf der Buchungsseite dargeboten wird.

Not near airport!
Pros:

Good shower and beds ok. Good cafe on site and shop.

Cons:

Arrived late from airport by bus and room was in bungalow tucked behind main hotel building. No lights so difficult to find in dark. Slippery wooden decking. Exposed electrics in bathroom light was a hazard. Location was misleading. Why call it airport hotel when miles from airport?
