Its location
The property was run down. Bed was lumpy. Breakfast was poor. The running of the place was a cluster.
I don't understand some of the negative reviews for this beautiful hotel. My room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. If you want modern, stay in a Travelodge.
The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful.
I can't comment on the restaurant, as I left early and returned late and therefore did not eat in the hotel.
I would definitely return.
lovely spacious room.. excellent breakfast
funny smell in reception when we arrived,
De locatie is dichtbij de whiskey distilleerderij
Beetje vergane glorie, maar dat hebben wij ervaren als gemoedelijk
Stunning building
Nothing
Massive room and a very comfortable bed. we had a homemade lasagne and it was lovely and tasty you could tell it was homemade, good portion size and lovely crispy chips. We had a good nights sleep. This hotel was in a great location and it was exactly as shown in the pictures, its a little tired in places, but a lovely building and all the staff were amazing.
There was no USB adapter in the room, didn't really matter, its just that i rarely carry one these days
The stay was good. The staff were friendly.Met the expectations.the view was stunning. Easy access to city.
The lighting inside the room. Rooms were little dark and felt the mattresses little uncomfortable.
Evening meal excellent, breakfast ok.
Clean and comfy bed
No hot water in the morning for a shower. Noisy truck arrived in morning. Not particularly peaceful
Old hotel with charm, very spacious room with great view. Room+bathroom were very clean.
Super friendly staff at reception & restaurant!
Some bits need maintenance, window frames some new paint etc - but value for money was fine :)
Staff were nice but see below
It has a bar with indoor and outdoor seating.
Well equipped bathroom except for toiletries.
There was a party directly under many rooms with very loud music causing things to vibrate in the bedroom and bathroom until after 11.00pm meaning an early night was impossible.
Staff were nice but often unable to help.
Short staffed at breakfast.
Breakfast very basic.
I had to remind staff at checkout to charge me for my dinner and drinks the night before, which quadrupled my breakfast bill.
Room
Beautiful building
Lots of pot holes on the road, could put a bin for an ashtray outside. Seating area before restaurant could do with a decor touch up in places.
