A good option if you are looking for affordable central accommodation.
Pros:

Location was excellent. The Mall was across the road and everywhere was walkable.
The bed was comfortable and it was good to have a full laundry and kitchen in the unit.
Roy, the owner was very friendly and helpful which we appreciated.

Cons:

You are in the city center, so expect traffic and pedestrian noises well into the night.

Great location, safe, good amenities.
Pros:

The location was the outstanding point. We could easily walk down to the Marina to catch trips, food outlets, shops. Also it is just across the road from Cairns Central Plaza (shops, banks, eateries, and supermarkets). As there was a full kitchen in the apartment we shopped and cooked some of our meals. There was also a washing machine and dryer which is why I chose this apartment. Good water pressure for showers. Swimming pool and BBQ facilities. Safe parking.

Cons:

It’s a little tired - which is ok but simple things could make a better first impression. The only bowl for salads etc had a crack in it (we didn’t use it). The frying pans Teflon is past its use by (we bought ourselves a new pan to use). The hot tap had a back leak which meant our toilet bags, if left on the bench by the sink, got wet. And just in general some small touch ups would smarten it up eg paint on the bathroom door and skirt (where there has been obvious water damage).

The ambience of the apartment and the staff who were very helpful.

Cons:

The stairs, as there is no elevator. As elderly people it was a bit difficult, but younger folk would have no problem.

Clean room, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, nice hot shower. Friendly staff. Close to shopping centre, easy walk to harbour.

Pros:

Staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Location is right in the middle of the city, next to a shopping centre and close to the railway station. Beds are comfortable and unit was working well for us.

Cons:

Believed unit to be ground floor.
Unit smelt of mould and musty. Had to have vanilla candles lit every time in unit together with opening of windows and door. Also needed to spray room deoderiser every time I entered.
