Pros:

Alles! Das Hotel ist wunderbar - die Lage ist traumhaft, die Zimmer sind schön und hell (Stadtblick) und das Personal ist nett und sehr hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Teppichboden in Hotelzimmern finde ich etwas unhygienisch. Das ist das Einzige, was es zu bemängeln gibt!

Tasteful hotel in a great location
Pros:

The location was really nice - very easy access to all areas of Paris. The room (and bed) were both comfortable with a great view. Most of the staff were friendly.

Cons:

We had a strange mix up with ordering breakfast in our room. The staff said we could and that we needed to select our hot and cold beverage options as well as our pastry. We didn't think twice as that's typical, along with all the other French breakfast items (baguette, jam, butter, yogurt, maybe ham, etc.) The next morning we received only the beverages and a tiny mini croissant - not the full French breakfast experience you expect while in Paris. It got sorted out but we had to get our clothes on and go downstairs to request all the other breakfast items (kinda defeats the purpose of breakfast in bed). The staff got it together for us, which we appreciated, but they weren't very friendly about it - they said "all you ordered were those items so that's all we brought." It was odd.

Centraal gelegen hotel, maar kamer heel warm en aan de kleine kant.
Pros:

Heel centraal gelegen, vlakbij metro Bastille en de wijk Le Marais. Veel restaurants in de buurt. Goed ontbijt.

Cons:

Vrij kleine kamer, zeer warm en heel luidruchtige buurt. We konden de raam niet open zetten door het straatlawaai.

Good location good value
Pros:

Booked orig for my daughter and I. Late change of plans and it was hubby instead. Location fab and excellent value for money also bathroom was really clean etc but if u want real luxury expect to pay double. That said I wld def rec this hotel again if u want central Paris on a budget

Bel hôtel, bonnes prestations, super emplacement
Pros:

C’est la 2eme fois que nous venons dans cet hôtel et nous apprécions particulièrement sa situation, au coeur de tout mais sans concession sur le calme. Literie très confortable.

Cons:

Accueil un peu froid quand nous sommes arrivés à 14h30 au lieu de 15h. Petit déjeuner un peu cher.

Pros:

L'hôtel Speria est idéalement situé. La chambre, bien que petite, était tout à fait adaptée pour un séjour de quelques jours. Les équipements étaient largement suffisamment et la literie confortable.

Dark and small room
Pros:

The location of the hotel is very central (but that also means that it's noisy with people drinking outside the rooms until after midnight).

Cons:

I booked for 2 nights. The first night was horrendous. According to the hotel, it had a water leak, so some of the rooms weren't available. So we were placed in the WORST room in the hotel. It was SUPER tiny and incredibly dark (the 1 small window looked out onto the airshaft). In addition, the room was near the elevator, so it was noisy. It was a terrible room. On the second night, we were moved into a nicer room, and we were fine with that. BUT the first night was a disaster. When we complained, we were told that rooms in Paris are small and expensive. As this was my 5th trip to Paris, I know what comparably priced rooms are like, and I never stayed in such a tight and dark room. (For the record, I travel to Europe 3-4 times per year, so I have reasonable expectations.)

The pictures on the hotel's website and social media are misleading. While SOME of the rooms are nice and bright and very pretty, some are terrible and overpriced.

If a hotel has a water issue and moves guests into the least desirable rooms, then accommodations (like reduced rate or complimentary breakfast) should be made.

Oh, and be careful with ordering a taxi to the airport. We asked the hotel and was told the price was $110. When I questioned the price (a taxi from central Paris to CDG is never over $100), they immediately said, "oh, I can drop the price for you to $95." I had the distinct impression that the staff was trying to scam us.

With so many great options in Paris, this is one to skip.

Pros:

Location is so convenient. Literally 1 minute walk from the Bastille Metro and so close to place des vosges and La Marais. The only problem we found is that it's very easy to be locked outside your room, and that our room on the first floor was quite noisy due to noise from the street (restaurants, cars).

My favourite hotel in Paris
Pros:

I have been visiting Paris at least four times a year for over 15 years and have always stayed at the Hôtel Bastille Speria, for the simple reason that I cannot think of a better hotel in Paris. It is a small hotel where you are looked after by exceptionally friendly staff at the reception and in the morning in the breakfast room. The location is very good, close to Place de la Bastille with its metro station which takes you all over Paris. But you don't have to go far to experience the fantastic atmosphere of Le Marais and the beautiful Place de Vosges.
